The first trailer for the upcoming biographical film “Hershey” has been unveiled, offering a glimpse into the story of one of the world’s most iconic chocolate empires. The movie stars Alexandra Daddario and Finn Wittrock, known for his role in American Horror Story, portraying the passionate couple behind Milton Hershey’s legendary success.
The official synopsis describes “Hershey” as a look into the remarkable history of Milton Hershey, the chocolate pioneer, and his wife Catherine. It highlights how Milton, despite facing numerous business failures, channeled his perseverance into building a lasting legacy that extends beyond chocolate. His efforts not only created a global brand but also established the Milton Hershey School, a private K–12 institution dedicated to providing education and support to students in need.
Directed by Mark Waters, the film features Finn Wittrock as Milton Hershey and Alexandra Daddario as Catherine Hershey. The trailer depicts their journey as they develop the Hershey chocolate empire, emphasizing that success requires more than just a good product. It showcases Milton’s early struggles, where he considers candy “not just a business but his obsession,” and faces many obstacles in turning his passion into a thriving enterprise.
Filmed across 17 locations throughout Pennsylvania, “Hershey” chronicles nearly five decades of the Hershey story, spanning from the early 1870s to the late 1910s. The movie will be distributed by Angel Studios, with a screenplay penned by Sharon Paul and Timothy Michael Hayes.
The production team includes producers Sharon Paul, Mark Tilghman, Mary Aloe, Joshua Harris, and Will Hardy, along with executive producers Daniel Hank, Joseph Lanius, Flip and Susan Flippen, and Joanne Marlowe.
