Production has concluded on the low-profile indie film How The Cookie Crumbles, a coming-of-age R-rated comedy featuring an ensemble cast led by Giorgia Whigham (known for Ted), comedian and influencer Trevor Wallace (Busboys), Alyssa Milano (Charmed), and Shea Whigham (Boardwalk Empire).
Filmed in Vancouver, this project marks the feature directorial debut of Edward McDonald and Lucas Fraser. It is also the inaugural feature produced by Jack Whigham, co-founder of Range Media Partners. The cast also includes Rohan Campbell, Bentley Green, Kaitlyn Kemp, Sara Demetree, Phoebe Petry, and Jason Coulter.
The story follows Tatum (Whigham), who, after being sentenced to community service, is assigned a seemingly undesirable task by a high-strung family friend (Milano): leading a troop of misfit young girl scouts aiming for the coveted Golden Cookie Badge. Dissatisfied with the troop’s traditional approach, Tatum rebels by breaking the rules and implementing her own unconventional methods to prepare the girls for adulthood. Throughout her journey, she faces off against a rival troop leader (Wallace), develops feelings for one of her scout’s older brothers (Campbell), and seeks to rebuild her relationship with her father (Whigham). As the story unfolds, Tatum grows to care for her troop—and possibly herself—learning what it means to become a functioning adult.
