Warner Bros. Clockwork is set to start filming this fall on the upcoming film Nasty, featuring stars Jenna Ortega and Oscar-nominated Rose Byrne.
The project, directed by Mary Bronstein, marks a reunion with Byrne, who previously earned her first Best Actress Oscar nomination for Bronstein’s film If I Had Legs I’d Kick You. Nasty was included on the 2024 Black List of top unproduced screenplays, with Isabella Jarosz making her debut sale as a screenwriter. The story follows a talented young gymnast striving to secure a spot on the Olympic team, but her greatest challenge lies not just in her competition—her fellow athletes—but in her own coach.
LuckyChap Entertainment and Jenna Ortega are producing the film, which promises to be an inspiring sports drama.
