Anna Kendrick and J.K. Simmons’ upcoming action-thriller series has officially found its U.S. streaming home. MGM+ will exclusively stream the six-part series Embassy, the network announced.
Confirming the news, MGM+ head Michael Wright praised the project, saying, “Embassy is an exciting addition to the MGM+ slate—a high-octane six-part thriller with an exceptional cast and creative team.” He continued, “Anna Kendrick, Sam Heughan, and J.K. Simmons, together with series creator Rom Lotan and directors John Strickland and Christian Alvart, have crafted a cinematic thriller that further establishes MGM+ as a destination for compelling, modern storytelling.”

The first season consists of six episodes and centres on Layla (Kendrick), who finds herself caught in an extraordinary crisis at the U.S. Embassy in London. When a heavily armed group of mercenaries breaches the embassy, Layla must navigate an increasingly dangerous situation where survival depends on quick thinking and courage.
