Ellie Goulding has unveiled her first electronic track, “Ravers,” showcasing a vibrant house production crafted by Dave Hamelin and Jack Rochon. The song features uplifting vocals and a dancefloor-ready vibe, serving as a preview of her upcoming album, I Know Too Much, set to be released on September 4 via Polydor Records.
Following previous singles “4 Seasons” and “Black Prada Dress,” “Ravers” marks a return to Goulding’s electronic roots—a genre that has significantly shaped her musical journey, including collaborations with Calvin Harris, Four Tet, Skrillex, and others.
In an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music, who premiered the track, Goulding shared the inspiration behind “Ravers”:
“It took me back to a very safe and beautiful place when I was a kid. I grew up listening to electronic music, and it did give me this sense of freedom back… I decided to release it a couple of weeks ago because this is the song that I feel is closest to me right now—my happy place.”
