Adèle Exarchopoulos, best known for her acclaimed performance in Blue Is the Warmest Color, has joined Zoë Kravitz in a leading role in an upcoming mystery film from My Old Ass director Megan Park, sources report.

Details about Exarchopoulos’ character are being kept under wraps, and Apple has not commented on the casting. The project will mark the French actress’s first lead role in an American studio production.

The currently untitled film is being directed and written by Park, who is also serving as an executive producer. Apple Studios and LuckyChap are producing the project in association with FilmNation. LuckyChap executives Tom Ackerley, Bronte Payne and Kelly McRedmond are overseeing the production.

Exarchopoulos rose to international prominence with her starring performance opposite Léa Seydoux in Abdellatif Kechiche’s Blue Is the Warmest Color. The film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 2013, where Exarchopoulos became the youngest-ever recipient of the Palme d’Or, sharing the prestigious award with Kechiche and Seydoux.

The actress also has several French-language projects on the horizon. Her upcoming films include Jeanne Herry’s Garance (Another Day), scheduled for release in France on September 23, and Christophe Honoré’s Orange-Flavoured Wedding (Mariage au goût d’orange), which is set to arrive in French cinemas on December 9.
