Amazon Prime Video has unveiled the star-studded cast of its upcoming romance drama Love of Your Life, giving audiences their first glimpse at the emotional story through its newly released trailer.
The film features an impressive ensemble cast led by Lanterns star Aaron Pierre, Margaret Qualley, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Gabriel Basso, and several other acclaimed actors. Directed by Rachel Morrison, who previously helmed The Fire Inside, the movie explores love, loss, and the unexpected turns that can reshape a person’s life.
According to IMDb, the film follows Maya, described as “a smart, wry nurse,” whose immersive love affair sets her life on a path she never could have imagined.
The trailer opens with Pierre’s Felix asking Qualley’s Maya what brought her to Europe. Maya is seen stepping off a bus and wandering through the streets of a European city before settling into her new apartment, seemingly determined to leave her past behind.
She eventually reveals that, years earlier, she packed her belongings into just two suitcases and threw away her phone before leaving everything she knew behind. The trailer then flashes back to her younger self arriving at an airport, emphasizing the dramatic decision that changed the course of her life.
As the story unfolds, viewers see Maya build a new life over the course of a decade. She falls deeply in love with Gabriel Basso’s Charlie, but her journey takes another unexpected turn when she later finds herself falling for Felix.
However, the past Maya tried to escape refuses to stay buried. Patrick Schwarzenegger’s Jason confronts her over disappearing from her friends and family, suggesting that the life she left behind may finally be catching up with her.
Alongside Pierre, Qualley, Basso, and Schwarzenegger, the film features Catherine Keener, Tamara Lawrance, and Corey Johnson in key roles.
Love of Your Life is produced by Project Hail Mary star Ryan Gosling and Jessie Henderson. The movie is distributed by Amazon MGM Studios and is scheduled to make its world debut at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 13, 2026.
Following its festival premiere, Love of Your Life will receive a theatrical release on October 7 before arriving on Amazon Prime Video on October 14.
With its ensemble cast, sweeping romantic storyline, and decade-spanning narrative, Love of Your Life is shaping up to be one of Amazon MGM Studios’ notable romance releases of the year.
