Rose Byrne and Meghann Fahy are joining forces for The Good Daughter, Peacock’s upcoming six-episode thriller based on Karin Slaughter’s bestselling novel of the same name. The series follows sisters Samantha and Charlotte Quinn as they confront the devastating consequences of a violent event that shattered their family two decades ago.
Peacock has released the trailer ahead of the series premiere on November 12, 2026. The preview offers a look at the sisters’ troubled history while introducing a new attack in the small town of Pikeville. The incident forces long-buried memories and family secrets back into the open.
For the past 20 years, Charlotte and Samantha Quinn have tried to move forward after a night of violence changed their lives forever. Charlotte followed in her father’s footsteps and became a lawyer. However, when another attack occurs in Pikeville, she becomes the first witness to the shocking incident.
As Charlotte investigates the case, painful memories from her childhood begin to resurface. Her search for answers also leads her deeper into secrets surrounding her family and the events of that fateful night. Along the way, the series explores the complicated bond between the two sisters and their relationship with their father.
Byrne stars as Samantha Quinn, while Fahy plays Charlotte Quinn. Byrne is best known for her role as Moira MacTaggert in the X-Men film series, while Fahy gained widespread recognition for playing Daphne Sullivan in Season 2 of The White Lotus.
Slaughter wrote all six episodes and serves as showrunner and executive producer. Steph Green directed the entire series and also serves as an executive producer. The producing team includes Bruna Papandrea, Steve Hutensky, Casey Haver, and Byrne.
The cast also features Brendan Gleeson, Olivia Williams, Harper Steele, Michael Dorman, Audrey Grace Marshall, and Drew Cheek. The Good Daughter is produced by Made Up Stories in partnership with Fifth Season.
All six episodes of The Good Daughter will premiere exclusively on Peacock on November 12, 2026.
