Destry Allyn Spielberg has wrapped production on her sophomore feature, Girl, a psychological crime thriller filmed in Savannah, Georgia.
The film stars Jason Isaacs (The White Lotus), Sofia Wylie (The School for Good and Evil), Luke Newton (Bridgerton), and Maddie Ziegler (Pretty Little Liars).
Written by Will Danilow, Girl centers on the aftermath of a brutal murder in a summer beach town where wealth, privilege, and social status shape the community. When a tennis instructor is found viciously murdered, a local police officer begins investigating the instructor’s final days while confronting the complications of his own past. As the investigation unfolds, he is drawn deeper into a disturbing and twisted case.
The film is produced by Tetrad Studios, Crazy Legs Features, Valecroft, and 5 More Minutes Productions, in association with Neighborhood Entertainment Fund.
Producers include Roy Scott MacFarland, Tom Cappello, Scott Thigpen, Colin Bates, William Ramsey, Matt Groesch, John Sacchi, Marc Danon, and Jessica Fox-Thigpen.
Additional cast members include Bobby Gilchrist, Tess Kincaid, and Sandy Bainum.
Girl marks Spielberg’s second feature film following her directorial debut, Please Don’t Feed the Children.
