The latest trailer for American Horror Story Season 13 is taking fans back to some of the anthology’s most memorable chapters, teasing the return of characters from Coven, Murder House, Freak Show, and several other seasons.
The upcoming installment of FX’s long-running horror anthology is bringing together a star-studded cast, with many familiar faces reprising their iconic roles.
According to the official synopsis, AHS: 13 features “an all-star cast,” including several actors returning as fan-favorite characters. The new season continues the legacy of the anthology series, which has amassed more than 700 million hours of streaming worldwide and developed a massive global fanbase.
The teaser opens with series icon Jessica Lange, confirming her highly anticipated return to the franchise. Lange was last seen in American Horror Story: Apocalypse in 2018.
“It’s good to be back, isn’t it?” Lange says as Constance Langdon, her character from Murder House. She later appears as Fiona Goode from Coven, who welcomes the returning characters by declaring, “Ladies and gentlemen, welcome at last. We are all assembled for this special occasion.”
Lange is set to reprise four of her previous American Horror Story characters, including Freak Show’s Elsa Mars. In the trailer, Elsa describes the new chapter as a “celebration of miscreants, murderous demons, and profanity.”
Evan Peters is also returning to the series as Tate Langdon, the troubled character he first portrayed in the inaugural 2011 season.
The trailer confirms several other major returning cast members. Emma Roberts is back as Madison Montgomery from Coven, while Kathy Bates reprises her role as Delphine LaLaurie. Billie Lourd returns as both Apocalypse’s Mallory and Cult’s Winter Anderson.
Also returning are Gabourey Sidibe as Queenie, Leslie Grossman as Coco St. Pierre Vanderbilt, John Carroll Lynch as Twisty the Clown, and Zach Villa as Richard Ramirez from 1984.
The returning ensemble also includes Mena Suvari as Elizabeth Short from Murder House, Mat Fraser as Paul from Freak Show, Frances Conroy as Myrtle Snow from Coven, and Seth Gabel as Jeffrey Dahmer from Hotel, along with additional familiar faces.
With characters spanning multiple seasons of the anthology, American Horror Story Season 13 appears set to embrace the franchise’s history while bringing its most recognizable stars together once again.
Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story: 13 is scheduled to premiere on FX on September 24, 2026.
