Magenta Edge Films has acquired Concessions, the debut feature from writer-director Mas Bouzidi, and is sending the film on a nationwide theatrical roadshow built around its only existing 35mm print.
The movie follows the final day at the closing Royal Alamo Cinema, where employees, outsiders and regulars move through interconnected stories of rejection, redemption and fate.
Steven Ogg, Josh Hamilton, Lana Rockwell, Ivory Aquino, Greg Roman, Rob Riordan, Jonathan Lorenzo Price, Max Madsen and the late Michael Madsen appear in the ensemble.
Bouzidi shot the film entirely on 16mm over 18 days inside a century-old family-owned movie theater. The theatrical campaign reflects that process: select roadshow stops will project the movie from a single traveling 35mm print.
The tour includes New York screenings at Village East by Angelika on October 1 and the Roxy Cinema on October 4, where filmmaker Charlotte Wells is scheduled to moderate a Q&A.
The film began its theatrical run September 22 and arrives on VOD October 27, 2026.
