The upcoming Baywatch reboot is making waves ahead of its January 2027 premiere, with Fox releasing four new character-focused teasers introducing the stars of the modernized series.
The 12-episode reboot is led by Burn Notice showrunner Matt Nix and brings back some of the franchise’s most recognizable elements, including iconic red swimsuits, dramatic ocean rescues, and the signature slow-motion beach runs.
Stephen Amell leads the new series as Hobie Buchannon, a character who originated in the original Baywatch. Now serving as a Baywatch captain, Hobie carries on the legacy of his legendary father, Mitch Buchannon.
Hobie’s life takes an unexpected turn when Charlie, played by Jessica Belkin, arrives at his doorstep. Charlie is the daughter he never knew he had, and she is determined to follow in the Buchannon family’s footsteps by becoming a Baywatch lifeguard alongside her father.
The four new teasers spotlight several of the reboot’s main characters. Amell appears as Hobie alongside Belkin’s Charlie, while Hassie Harrison and Noah Beck portray lifeguards Nat and Luke. Shay Mitchell stars as Trina alongside Brooks Nader as Selene, while Livvy Dunne plays junior lifeguard Grace and Thaddeus LaGrone portrays Brad.
The first teaser focuses on Hobie and Charlie during a dramatic water rescue, with Charlie springing into action while Hobie races across the sand on an all-terrain vehicle.
The second teaser introduces Trina and Selene. Trina is a former lawyer who has traded the courtroom for a career as a lifeguard. When an emergency strikes and her help is needed, she wastes no time jumping from a lifeguard tower to respond.
In the third teaser, Nat takes to the water on a jet ski, while Luke paddles toward the camera on a paddleboard, offering another glimpse at the new generation of Baywatch lifeguards.
The fourth teaser shifts the spotlight to junior lifeguard Grace and Brad. Dunne can be seen posing on top of a car while Brad keeps watch from a boat, highlighting the mix of action and beachside drama expected from the reboot.
The new Baywatch series is scheduled to premiere on Fox in January 2027. New episodes will also be available to stream on Hulu the day after their television broadcast.
