Trailer: Chloë Grace Moretz and Anthony Ramos Navigate a Complicated Love Triangle in ‘Love Language’

Chloë Grace Moretz finds herself caught between romance, ambition and unfinished business in the first trailer for Love Language, an upcoming romantic comedy that also stars Anthony Ramos, Manny Jacinto and Isabel May. The film explores the complications of finding love while trying to figure out what you really want from life.

The story follows Louisa “Lou” Klaussner (Moretz), an aspiring author who takes on an unusual side hustle writing wedding vows for other people. When a friend asks for her help crafting the perfect vows, Lou agrees, opening the door to a new opportunity that could help support her writing ambitions.

However, while Lou appears to have a talent for expressing other people’s feelings, her own romantic life proves considerably more complicated.

Things take an unexpected turn when Lou meets Dash (Ramos), a wealthy and charming man who quickly catches her attention. As their relationship develops, Lou begins to explore the possibility of a new romance. But just as she starts moving forward, her past comes back into focus.

Lou reconnects with her former college crush, Warren (Jacinto), who reveals that he was in love with her during their college years. There’s just one significant complication: Warren is now engaged to Olivia (May), one of Lou’s wedding-vow clients.

The trailer teases a tangled romantic situation as Lou attempts to navigate her feelings, her growing relationships and her dream of becoming a successful author. With old emotions resurfacing and new possibilities emerging, she must work out what love really means to her.

The supporting cast includes Billie Lourd, Lukas Gage and Chloe Fineman, rounding out an ensemble that brings plenty of familiar faces to the romantic comedy.

Written and directed by Joey Power, Love Language is produced by Bert Hamelinck, Allison Hironaka, Ari Lubet, Colin Jost and Jeff Grosvenor.

The film’s premise may draw comparisons to Materialists, the romantic drama starring Dakota Johnson, Chris Evans and Pedro Pascal, which similarly explores a woman caught between two very different romantic possibilities while navigating her professional ambitions. However, Love Language brings its own twist through Lou’s work writing wedding vows and the complications surrounding her former college crush.

Love Language is scheduled to arrive in select cinemas, on digital platforms and on demand on October 23, 2026.
