Bleecker Street has released the official teaser trailer for The Third Parent, an upcoming supernatural horror film based on a viral Creepypasta story that is set to bring one of the internet’s most disturbing horror figures to the big screen.
Written and directed by David Michaels, the film stars Rob Lowe, Roselyn Sánchez, Crispin Glover, and Rafael de Belligny. It adapts the popular online horror story of the same name, centering on a terrifying figure known as Tommy Taffy.
Set during a Fourth of July celebration, The Third Parent follows a seemingly ordinary suburban family whose lives take a sinister turn when Tommy Taffy disguises himself as a human and begins terrorizing them.
The newly released teaser establishes an unsettling atmosphere through a series of eerie historical photographs and illustrations depicting a mysterious figure haunting a family. These disturbing images are intercut with brief glimpses of frightening scenes from the film, offering viewers a taste of the horrors to come.
The preview culminates with Rob Lowe opening the door to Tommy Taffy, followed by a brief but chilling glimpse of Crispin Glover as the film’s menacing antagonist.
