Samuel L. Jackson is stepping into the spotlight as a crime boss in Frisco King, the highly anticipated spin-off of Tulsa King. Paramount+ has released the first teaser trailer for the upcoming series, offering a glimpse at Jackson’s return as Russell Lee Washington Jr. and a surprise appearance from Sylvester Stallone.
Set within the world of Taylor Sheridan’s hit crime drama, Frisco King follows Washington Jr. as he relocates to Frisco, Texas, where he sets out to build his own criminal empire. However, turning small-time hustles into a major operation brings new challenges, forcing him to navigate dangerous situations as his ambitions grow.
The new teaser introduces viewers to Washington Jr.’s unconventional approach to business. In the footage, Jackson’s character acknowledges that his methods operate outside the law, while brief action-packed scenes hint at the trouble awaiting him in his new surroundings. The trailer also features Stallone reprising his role as Dwight “The General” Manfredi, establishing a connection between the spin-off and the original series.
Jackson first appeared as Washington Jr. during the third season of Tulsa King, quickly establishing a character with the potential to lead his own story. With Frisco King, audiences will get a closer look at his ambitions and the criminal world he hopes to control.
