‘I won’t let you fall’: Taylor Swift and Shawn Mendes New Lyrics For “Lover” Remix

Taylor Swift dropped her highly anticipated “Lover” remix and revealed the special guest; her former tour mate Shawn Mendes. Improving on one of Taylor Swift’s most intimate songs, Shawn Mendes was more than up to the task when his old pal Taylor asked him to give the title track to her “Lover” album a remix in the form of a new verse and some additions to the swaying song’s chorus. Mendes took to his twitter account to thank the pop songstress;

Thank you @taylorswift13 for letting me join you on such a beautiful song. “Lover” remix is out now ❤️ Listen here: https://t.co/YlUY04bWpE pic.twitter.com/bs5NU4CrZ9

Mendes began collaborating with Swift as an opening act during her 2015 “1989” World Tour. Earlier this year, he sang her praises in a write-up for Time 100’s Most Influential People list.

“Taylor makes the job of creating music for millions of people look easy,” he wrote. “It all comes from her—her belief in magic and love, and her ability to be as honest and raw as possible. She’s the master of putting the perfect amount of thought into not overthinking, and that’s why her music connects so well.”

Mendes concluded: “Taylor makes anyone older feel young again and anyone young feel they can do anything. It’s so rare and so special. If there is one thing I want to achieve in my career and life, it’s that.”
