Che Noir is emerging as one of the top multi-hyphenates (emcee and producer) in Hip-Hop. Born and raised in the city (Buffalo) that is currently creating the rawest Hip-Hop in recent memory, Che’s ascent has been completely organic; and with each successive project she releases, her patrons continue to grow exponentially.
Che Noir released her debut mixtape in 2016; which caught the attention of Benny The Butcher, who recorded “Tyson” with her in 2017. Soon thereafter, she began working with 38 Spesh, who featured her on numerous Trust Gang releases leading up to her 2020 project, As God Intended, (produced entirely by Apollo Brown), which featured collaborations with Black Thought and Skyzoo.
In January of this year, Che set the table and turned her thoughts into a Michelin chef-level full course meal with the release of her breakthrough project, Food For Thought, which further demonstrated her massive range, styles, and techniques; from nostalgic reminiscences to crime-driven narratives.
Now, the Shea Butter Queen branches out even further with her forthcoming project The Last Remnants; where she not only thanks God for the bread on her table, but for also blessing it.
The Last Remnants is also a full-circle moment for Che, as she re-connects with Benny The Butcher for the projects lead single “Wash The Dishes,” where she makes it clear that she’s not above doing the dirty work “we can all get it, it’s enough for us all to eat, if we run out of plates after I eat, I’ll wash the dishes.”
“I remember when I heard the beat, and did my verse I knew Benny would be a perfect fit for this” Che Noir recalled. “Benny pulled up to the studio I was recording at in Rochester, we broke bread and “Washed The Dishes.”
Something’s in life make too much sense not to happen. Like Rome Streetz and Griselda/GXFR forming like Voltron.
Ever since Rome’s signing was announced late last year, fans couldn’t wait to hear him spit his grimy and intricate vignettes for the industry’s pre-eminent tastemaker label.
Now, one of NYC’s brightest emcees and writers has officially announced his debut Griselda project, as his newest masterpiece, Kiss The Ring, will be released on 9-30-22 via Griselda/GXFR Records.
“Kiss The Ring is Rome Streetz on steroids. This album is my deepest thoughts, feelings and experiences. This is the culmination of all of my hard work and the times people said I couldn’t get lit making this type of music” Rome Streetz explains. “Fast forward, I blew past them all and now they gotta Kiss The Ring.”
With his ear always to the streets, Westside Gunn recognized and admired Rome Streetz’s talents and knew he would make the perfect addition to Griselda. “When I think of NYC and bars, no one’s name comes up first before Rome Streetz. He’s an emcees emcee and Griselda is a lot stronger with Rome” Westside Gunn confidently asserts. “We made a classic tape and this is just the beginning. Rome Streetz is the future; Kiss The Ring.”
Before Kiss The Ring impacts, Rome has unveiled his Streetz Of Rage Documentary. This past June, Rome Streetz invaded Europe, embarking on the Streetz Of Rage tour. This original motion picture documents Rome’s navigation through four different countries throughout Europe; Germany, Switzerland, Italy and England. This motion picture presentation also highlights Rome’s very distinctive story, and about his roots in London, England. Going back to his birthplace of London, you will see Rome meet some of his family members for the first time.
The dedication and appreciation of Rome’s artistry from the European fans is something not to be missed. The Streetz Of Rage Documentary Film and Tour is an essential element of Rome’s story leading up to the release of his debut Griselda Records project Kiss The Ring; which will be released on 9-30-22.
