Hailing from Australia, the now London-based pop artist Sharl, is known for spinning stories from the ups and downs of love and life. As a classically trained musician, Sharl infuses her music with captivating melodies, infectious electro pop beats and heartfelt lyrics which reveal a deep core of resilience and authenticity. Sharl manifests the journey of an indie pop princess on the rise.
Following the release of her debut album City Lights, Sharl continues on her fearless evolution on the lead up to her second album, Clichés. Merging her lovable sound with K-pop influence, the result is a bold and fresh palette, providing pure escapism for listeners and exploring the intense angles of love through ten unforgettable new tracks. Clichés touches on our experiences of love, ranging across all aspects: superficial to deep, fleeting to eternal, problematic to easy. Sharl explains, “It’s an exploration of the meaning of love: that it can take many forms, which might be seen as clichés, but who are we to judge which aspect of love is better or more meaningful?” Using songwriting as an outlet for her emotions and a form of therapy, Sharl continues, “I wrote the songs reflecting on experiences of love, as ultimately I see love as the universal human truth and experience that endures through the difficulties that life and the world throws at us.”
Her latest single, “No Other” is like falling head over heels into a fairytale world. Through colourful melodies, a throbbing beat and bright brass section, “No Other” packs a punch, with Sharl’s soft yet powerful vocals narrating being completely intoxicated by someone. A total juxtaposition to her previous track “Changed Too Much”, which shows a horror side to love, exploring toxicity, regret and hindsight. Drawing comparisons to Taylor Swift, Sharl’s storytelling lyrics allows for listeners to envision themselves in the stories, immersing themselves in the music and feeling the emotion of the song.
The accompanying music video for “No Other” is a nod to the depiction of Disney princesses as an archetype of fairytale love, released just in time for Disney’s 100th anniversary this year.
The talented singer-songwriter has seen success having reached the semi-finals of the International Songwriting Competition, performing on the main stage at the Virgin Australia AFL Footy Festival, and multiple film festival awards for her debut music video “I Fell In Love”. As an advocate for Asian representation in the music industry, Sharl hopes to inspire people to be who they want in life and not feel restricted by pressures around them.
multiplatinum chart-topping global pop powerhouse Zara Larsson announces her new album VENUS, set for release on February 9, 2024, via Sommer House/Epic Records. Pre-order/pre-save VENUS HERE.
Riding high on her current single “On My Love” with David Guetta, Zara has also confirmed details of a spring UK and European headlining tour. Dubbed The Venus Tour, tickets will be on-sale on November 3rd via www.zaralarssonofficial.com alongside dates for Zara’s Swedish holiday specials, Honor The Light. It marks her first run of global headline shows since the pandemic. See full itinerary below and look out for North American live shows in the new year.
A pop album fit for a goddess, VENUS is Zara Larsson setting her own agenda, in part by looking back on where she’s come from. First single “Can’t Tame Her” was a fierce, female-forward anthem that spent over 16 weeks in the UK Top 40, reached number 3 on iTunes, and number 1 on US Dance Radio: a journey all the sweeter given it was also Larsson’s first release on her own Sommer House label, following trailblazing deal with Sony which saw the still-just-25-year-old simultaneously take control of her entire recording catalogue. This summer Zara also dropped “End of Time,” a cinematic visitation with your younger self and a reminder to always follow that inner drive.
Last month, Zara Larsson’s latest single with David Guetta, “On My Love,” was crowned the highest debuting record of 2023 at Dance Radio. Just four weeks later, the song has reached #1 on the chart, making it the country’s biggest dance record. Upon release, the song and video were praised by a diverse pool of media, from Good Morning America (who called it “emotional”) to People (a “banger” and “club-ready dance track about a valued bond built on unconditional love”), Uproxx (Best Pop Songs of the Week), Rolling Stone, V Magazine and much more. Recently, she shared the official acoustic video (watch HERE) and Niklas Dee remix (stream HERE). Tomorrow, she will share the official Felix Jaehn Remix (available HERE). Stream the original “On My Love” HERE and watch the music video HERE.
With its elevated sound, eclectic style and unifying visuals, VENUS solidifies Zara Larsson as one of modern pop’s most essential stars.

Self-compassion and resilience really drove this EP.Each of these songs was written from a significant realization that brought me a little bit closer to finding and honoring a deeper connection (or rhythm) with myself before anyone or anything else.
Knowing there’s an intangible, ‘guiding’ “Rhythm” that I can connect to within myself that has impulses and intuition, as well as maybe a sense for things otherwise unexplainable, has become an anchor and a guide I can fully trust.
All of the visuals for this release were done by me.
I wanted to highlight how important a role self-compassion and anger played in the process of motivating me to make positive changes in my life.
The ‘funhouse’ imagery supports self-realization,
an ambient, dream-like atmosphere and a dramatic, soul-stirring mood.
The songs on this EP lend to a place where I feel I am enough, I’ve had enough, or my connection with myself is my priority.
I’m hoping that others can see themselves in these stories.
Thank you for listening,
Sydney Mae
Chinese-American influencer, model, and singer-songwriter Irene Wong, releases her single “Favorite Skeleton.” The single was produced by Nathan Fertig (Tate McRae, Alec Benjamin Grace VanderWaal), written by Nathan Fertig and Anna Belfany, recorded and mixed by Marvin Delgado (Grammy nominated), and mastered by Demetrius Lewis II (Grammy winning). “Favorite Skeleton” is bittersweet, self-deprecating, and melancholy; looking inwards and backwards rather than outward and forward. It’s a track that places the listener into a scene of reminiscing about a past relationship, and how the thought of those memories always haunts her and won’t go away. It’s moodier and shows off a different side to Irene than her debut single “mmm idk”; which received praise from places such as Earmilk, Sweety High, and more.
Born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama, Irene has quickly risen to fame on various social media platforms, captivating her 2.7 million TikTok followers with her nonchalant and witty approach to short-form content. She has been affectionately nicknamed “Asian Rapunzel” due to her striking knee-length hair, a unique trait she humorously portrays in her content. As a classically trained musician, music has always been Irene’s true passion, and now she is working hard to pursue her dream professionally. At the tender age of 19, Irene has found an unwavering ally in her label, Unbound Entertainment. The label is committed to nurturing Irene’s talent from its early stages of development, ensuring her dreams become a reality. While Irene enjoys a significant presence on social media, she has courageously battled her own emotions and fears on her journey towards musical stardom. Unbound Entertainment is playing a pivotal role in Irene’s growth, offering an experience that has seen each trip to Los Angeles become progressively more enriching. These trips now encompass more studio sessions, reduced stress, fewer emotional breakdowns, an increasing number of press interviews, and, most importantly, a growing sense of confidence as an artist.

As his music resonates across various platforms and among industry heavyweights like Madonna, Sean Paul, and Post Malone, the mask stands as a beacon of hope, representing the beauty found within the vast expanse of space and sound and the caliber of Sickick’s artistry.

This is Gwyn Love (they/them) and I’m an alt-pop singer from Oklahoma. “get over u” is my second single I wrote with multi-platinum producer and composer La+ch.
“get over u” captures the sadness I feel on the inside during a breakup and what I portray to other people. It’s about the feeling of wanting to stay home and be sad, but also wanting to go out to numb the sadness for a bit although you will still feel it. It’s a heavy lyric dance song which I think is cool.
💔 Catch my vibe and hear “get over u” on streaming platforms everywhere 💔
Hope you all enjoy!
Gwyn Love
This is Tom Hanley, an indie-rock musician from Uxbridge, Ontario. I originally got my start playing in pop punk bands in high school, eventually the starting six piece funk band JUICE. After playing with the group for eight years, I felt that I needed to go out on my own, and I knew that I had more to say and that JUICE wasn’t the right platform to do it.
The song is about how the whole world basically changed “Overnight.” It’s also the title of the album. This project has been in the works for a long time, like probably the summation of five years of work searching for what I want to sound like as a solo artist. So it also has a bit of a double meaning because calling a project that took years to get to the finish line “Overnight” makes me laugh.
🌙 Listen to the single “Overnight” on streaming platforms everywhere! 🌙
This whole project has been DIY. Other than two studio days at Giant Studios in Toronto where we recorded nine bed tracks, I recorded, produced and arranged everything at my home studio. That goes for the majority of visuals as well. All of the promo vids, lyric video and music video I shot and edited myself.
Over the course of the lockdowns I filmed everything I did, from baking, puzzles, learning to properly care for plants and getting a kitten. I wanted to catch it all so when we were back to normal this video would be a time capsule. Sure, it’s a time I think we all somewhat try to forget, but in those hard times there were beautiful moments.
Thanks for listening,
Tom Hanley

Grammy-Nominated Songwriter Playy releases an electric club anthem titled, “Gold On My Lip” (G.O.M.L) a tribute to grillzand his hometown of Houston. Playy is a songwriter and artist who has long been recognized for his talent in creating hits for other artists. He co-wrote and was featured on Ludacris and Nicki Minaj’s hit song “My Chick Bad”. Now he has a video for Gold On My Lip, his newest party anthem. The song was simply inspired by Houston’s dominant gold grill culture. G.O.M.L has an irresistible beat and insane flow that’s bound to make anyone want to get a grill. “I’ve been having grills literally my whole life, I was under 8 when I had my first grill and then from then on I just always had a grill,” said Playy.
The creative process of this track is one he described as “quick and easy”. Written and recorded in an Atlanta hotel room that he turned into a recording studio, his feature artists include a Texas legend, E.S.G. and Spark Dawg (known for making grills) are some of his favorite people to work with and were quick to lay their verses down. NickEBeats, a Multi-Platinum producer known for work with Fetty Wap, Rich the Kid and Lil Durk, created the beat for this song.
The music video does an amazing job of capturing the songs high energy and transports viewers into a vibe as the artists and friends rap in a bar. Shot by Texas-based director DGreen, Playy and his crew recorded the video during Austin, Texas’ iconic festival, South by Southwest (SXSW).
Formerly signed to Interscope Records, the Texas native has collaborated with many household name artists and producers such as Ludacris, Nicki Minaj, Kelly Rowland (“Work It Man”) and the legendary Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins.

American-Irish singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, Ali Coyle, intertwines dream-folk and indie rock genres with lush vocal harmonies and rhythm focused instrumentation. Her debut studio EP, Songs For My Therapist was released in 2021 to critical acclaim garnering praise from publications including The Los Angeles Times, Atwood Magazine, and Guitar Girl Magazine. Highlights from Coyle’s freshman release include performing at the Los Angeles legendary venue The Troubadour, headlining a West Coast Tour in, as well as garnering over 500,000 streams. In 2023, Coyle performed for Apple TV+ at the advanced screening of Flora and Son, an Irish film directed by John Carney (Once, Begin Again, Sing Street), and is in the process of writing and producing her next record.
With a voice that can be described as both haunting and angelic, Coyle tells her own stories as first generation American, and an openly queer artist, who fought to celebrate her identity growing up in Orange County, California. Gravitating towards music at an early age, she learned classical violin and then ultimately the electric guitar, where she began to define her style as a songwriter. Ali Coyle spent a number of formative years living in artist warehouses in Los Angeles before finding home in the artist community of Santa Ana, California.
Since the release of Songs For My Therapist, the songwriter connected with musical friends new and old to bring her live performance to new levels of satisfying catharsis. Each song embraces a unique departure from the studio record while preserving her delicate sentiment. After two years of collaboration, Coyle and her band have now taken the entirety of the production process in house for future releases.
Her latest single “Dreamkiller” is a playfully dark yet empowering sonic journey. The dreamy indie pop single is a tongue-in-cheek love letter to your fears. Ali Coyle’s lyrics are deeply sentimental, with moments of subtle sarcasm sparkling just below the surface. With sticky guitar hooks that evoke the spirit of late 90’s and early 2000’s indie rock, and group harmonies reminiscent of 1950’s soul, “Dreamkiller,” marries a myriad of genres while staying grounded in today, by way of more modern synth sounds and production.
The song is accompanied by a cinematic music video, directed by Sarah Vargas and Michael Klein, with editing by Justin Green. The Dreamkiller video shares a narrative journey of realization, empowerment, and friendship, presented with a dark and comedic undertone.
Hailed by Atwood Magazine for creating “poetic and moody music that speaks to your soul,” Ali Coyle succeeds in crafting songs that inspire us all to ask the tough questions to reach deeper meaning.

Toronto-based R&B artist, KIANA, artfully weaves immersive soundscapes that vividly capture the essence of heartbreak and personal growth. Her music, characterized by its moody and hypnotic allure, reflects the intricate tapestry of real but raw human emotions. Rooted in the realm of dark R&B/pop, KIANA’s music delves into the shadows of the genre, where her lyrics explore the landscapes of honesty and often uncomfortable emotions, making her a distinct and evocative voice in the world of R&B and soul.
Her latest single “secrets” marks a pivotal moment for KIANA, embodying the essence and direction of her upcoming EP. Emanating a dark and edgy 80’s pop ambiance, “secrets” showcases KIANA’s versatility, pushing her out of her comfort zone. Adorned with playful synths, a brooding bassline and a throbbing beat, KIANA’s sultry vocals narrate the story of a hidden toxic love. KIANA eloquently portrays the notion of keeping love hidden as a reflection of the intricate, unique, and often tumultuous nature of the relationship, emphasizing the complexities that may not be easily understood by others.
KIANA’s music has gained worldwide acclaim, earning recognition from esteemed publications like Teen Vogue, Rolling Stone and Wonderland Magazine. With a growing fan base, each new release stokes anticipation, reinforcing KIANA’s standing as an artist destined for a notable presence in the music industry.
Hailing from the steel city, Newcastle, Rum Jungle are one of Australia’s go-to sun soaked bands with their mixture of surf rock and alt-pop, they float pop melodies on psych guitars and chilled groove beats. With a plethora of sounds and styles, the band create something which is distinctly their own and their latest EP demonstrates just that.
After a lot of exploration in their previous releases, the seven-track EP, Hold Me In The Water, sees the band finally finding their sound, without being boxed into anything specific. Taking listeners on a rollercoaster journey, the introduction is miles apart from its finale, keeping you on your toes with each and every track. The band shares, “You’ll hear some chargers and you’ll hear some chillers that next to each other will be surprising but all have that signature Rum Jungle sound. We’re all stoked on each and every one of these tracks and we’ve put more than we ever have into getting each of them right. Just like our last EP’s we want it to crank on right out the gate but close out with something you can cruise on low to.” From the colossal sounding drums and obnoxious vocals in “Electric Snowman” right through to the lethargic simplicity of “Nervous,” there really is something for everyone.
Thematically, Hold Me In The Water, is inspired by the hurdles the band have faced over the last year or two. Covering everything from their rough spots, to their mad highs, it follows them on their experiences as a band, resulting in something which is honest, raw and relatable. “These tunes are all unique with what they’re about and some have some real introspective thoughts on dynamics in relationships whereas some others are truly just about having a good time,” they confide.
The four piece have developed a devoted fan base off the back of their three EPs Everything Is Easy, Crazy Days and Sun & Smoke. Rum Jungle have established themselves in the tour circuit with sold out shows around the country and festival appearances joining Groovin the Moo, This That, Rolling Sets, Falls Festival and upcoming showcases at SXSW. They also currently have the most played track on triple j radio and have had the pleasure of performing their prestigious segment “Like A Version.” Quickly propelling in all areas, Rum Jungle are certainly ones to watch this 2023 and beyond.
Rising Swedish alt-pop talent Edgar Homeros returns to the ether with the remarkable sounds of “Televised” – the first single since his Volatile project earlier this year. An eclectic offering, “Televised” fuses tender acoustic guitar strums which evolve into stormy segments of rubbery synths and crashing drums for a multi-faceted finish. Weaving together his trademark harmonies á la Benjamin Francis Leftwich/Novo Amor with a production at times reminiscent of another world of music, the ending lyrics “I used to be afraid of death and now I wish, I wish that I could die young – so that my songs are sung” speak for themselves.
Rosie H Sullivan uncloaks second EP ‘In My Nature’ out now via Nettwerk.
The Scottish songwriter continues her streak of meditative indie-folk with the brand new EP In My Nature. This subsequent release follows her debut project 123° East out earlier this year and sees Rosie H Sullivan enter a new era, with a collection of songs each exploring subjects close to her heart.
“I’ve traded wildflowers and country roads, for bus lanes and tramways and cobblestones,” Sullivan whispers in opener ‘Wildflowers and Cobblestones’. Co-written with Ross Hamilton, the track gives a glimpse into the duality of the life Sullivan leads, leaving behind the rural seascapes of her family home to embark on a bustling life in the city, and the contrasts that come with that move. A continuation from Sullivan’s ‘Expectations’ lifted from 123° East, the song reaches further into ideas of growing up, time passing and the ebbs and flows that life brings.
The self-proclaimed power feminist anthem, ‘Only A Woman’, co-written with Katie Sutherland, explores the intricacies of being a woman in the 21st century. “I’m only a woman after all,” she sings. “I will never fit.” Sullivan ups the ante with the sonics of the track, crafting one of her most powerful arrangements yet and drawing similarities to the stylistics of Phoebe Bridgers and super group Boygenius, particularly with its hazily warm atmosphere and gossamer vocals that sweep over layered drums.
Previous single ‘Fragments’ blends beautifully poetic lyrics seamlessly into a blanket of angelic melodies – an ode to her love for the highlands of Scotland whilst ‘Chapters’, with alluring nods to Fiest’s timeless ‘1234’, is about fulfilling each day, celebrating the ups and downs in our lives as well the simple things we shouldn’t take for granted.
And finally, encapsulating the true essence of Sullivan’s adoration for her hometown is ‘Timeless’, a vulnerable conclusion to the EP accompanied with spoken word by Scottish kayaking pioneer, and family friend, the late Hamish Gow.
“In his final years, a close friend of my father’s passed onto us some old cinefilm that showed them kayaking around Scottish islands in the 1960s. This was created into a film, which Hamish narrated over, recalling the adventures of his youth. Part of this recording now sits nestled within the bridge of Timeless. It’s a big moment for me, and my family to have Hamish’s voice out there, and never forgotten.”
In My Nature explores the world through Sullivan’s lens, words and rhymes for others to hold, cherish and listen to. “It is in my nature to write these words and songs and hold them in my heart, I’ll also be found, never too far from nature, in any case, by a stream, in the woods, in the long grass, by the sea.” Her vision is crystal clear, and the natural-born storyteller abilities have never vibrated stronger than in this moment. “This is me, and it has been since I came to be and will continue to be for as long as I live.”
Sullivan’s breakthrough came in 2021 with her debut single, ‘So It Is’, which she captured in just one take in her parent’s garden. Released in demo form, the single has racked up onwards of 600,000 streams on Spotify. In addition, her recent sold out stint at Glasgow’s King Tut’s, appearance at this year’s Celtic Connections plus her own Scottish tour is appropriately leading her down the right path to becoming one of the most prestigious songwriters of our age.
Make sure to catch Rosie H Sullivan at her upcoming tour scheduled for this November. Full dates below.
Chart-topping alternative artist Karisa is gearing up to release her latest single, “Hostage of Paradise,” on November 10. A compelling blend of Pop, EDM, Alternative, Synth, and Dance-pop genres, the song promises to captivate audiences with its intricate narrative and unique sound.
“Hostage of Paradise” delves into the complex theme of mental health, juxtaposing the feelings of sadness and melancholy with moments of joy and beauty. With lyrics that explore the depths of love and lust, KARISA’s latest single plays with the contrast of words and descriptive visuals. It masterfully creates an image of beauty that is continually undermined by darkness.
The new track narrates the story of a tragic beauty, trapped in a place or state of mind that appears lavish yet harbors darkness. Despite the wonder in the physical world, the lyrics reveal an underlying sadness that challenges the exterior world’s beauty and perfection. “Hostage of Paradise” serves as a musical depiction of being a hostage to one’s own mind, trapped in a place of darkness and sadness, even amidst the world’s physical beauty.

Atlanta based artist Hojean has had a busy few months, playing sold out shows across Asia and North America in support of his recently released new EP, ‘ Cherie’. Having gained wide acclaim on the EP and racked up well over 100 million streams as an independent artist, Hojean is set to release two videos from the EP. The first of which is out today and was produced and directed by Bobby Lee Palmer for the track, ‘Cruel’.
Speaking on the inspiration behind ‘Cruel’, Hojean states: “Cruel is about no matter how many new faces you meet there’s always going to be that one you can’t seem to forget. whether it was left off in good blood or bad, overblown fake confidence to seem like you’re doing better than them, bad distractions to forget about that one someone, sometimes all you want in the end is closure.”
In the music video, Hojean tells the story of ‘Cruel’ in grayscale. As a song about love and loss, the video perfectly articulates this sense of longing ardently heard on the track. Hojean’s delivery is both heartleft and emotive, and serves as a gorgeous accompaniment to his ghostly vocals.
Sonically, the smooth soulful R&B quality ‘Cruel’ is drenched in feels distinctly nostalgic, yet is brought back into the 21st century through the distorted, glitching vocals scattered throughout the track. In listening to the single, it will come as no surprise that Hojean is an artist committed to shaping his sound into something that covers multiple styles and techniques. This allows him to curate the unique identity we hear in his music today. ‘Cruel’ and the rest of the approaching EP are produced, written, recorded, mixed and mastered entirely by Hojean, which further demonstrates the multifaceted nature to his artistry.

With heady guitar lines ripping through antagonistic instrumentals, the track barrels toward a seesawing climax swarming with screeching riffs that billow like plumes of smoke rising from a smouldering wreckage.
Grappling with the bleakness of internal suffering and exploring how the phrase “time heals all wounds” doesn’t always ring true, singer Jamie explains of the new track:
“”Deep Cuts” reflects being hurt deeply, the struggle to cope with the pain, and the desire to move on. Time may be a great healer, but those scars don’t always necessarily fade. The song contemplates the reasons behind the suffering and expresses a hope to find closure and healing with time. It also explores the thin lines between emotional vulnerability and strength, highlighting the internal conflict of trying to navigate through difficult experiences .”
“Deep Cuts” follows previous single “This Side Of Me” as the latest track to emerge from Feral Family’s forthcoming debut album ‘Without Motion’, now confirmed for release this January. An electric statement of intent from a band bristling with a new vengeance, the earlier release gained an early preview on John Kennedy’s Radio X show and was praised as “brilliant” by BBC Introducing’s Alan Raw and “soaring” by BBC 6 Music’s Steve Lamacq.
A gravity-defying debut from a band going places fast, Feral Family’s ‘Without Motion’, will be released across all leading services on 19 January 2024.

Like a Doll, the project of spirited New York musician Emma Stacher, are excited to share their debut album today, Like a Doll. A record filled with textured string arrangements, springing cowbells, running water and bittersweet lullabies, Like a Doll was recorded at Greenpoint, Brooklyn’s Studio G in December 2020. Birthed in NYC’s ever-evolving guitar music scene, the playful six-piece band brings listeners into their figurative dollhouse and dissects past trauma through what they’ve termed “whimsical dissociation.”
“I really wanted to dive into play and wonder and explore all sorts of feelings in a childlike way through making music,” Emma Stacher says about the creative process behind Like a Doll. “I knew with making this album I wanted to turn my anxiety of feeling ‘like a doll’ into something whimsical and exciting and create a world with my music for people and me to feel safe, reflective, and be whoever and whatever they need to be. Just like a doll.”

Gavin’s struggle to find clarity amid a whirlwind of conflicting honesty is cleverly juxtaposed by dreamy, airy acoustics and a production style mirroring his metaphor of “a pink cloud in a 7/11.”

Drawing influence from a diverse spectrum of artists, Toronto-based SWiiMS blends elements of ’80s new wave, ’90s shoegaze, indie rock, brit pop and dream pop together to arrive at a sound that is all their own. Singer Mai Diaz Langou and guitarist Colin Thompson started writing songs together in late 2018, uniting her elegant poetry, textured melodies and languid voice with his fuzzy, jangly, swirling guitar tones. Bassist Cian O’Ruanaidh joined shortly after, bringing a fresh voice, unique influences and hooky bass lines to the group.
Love, loss, loneliness, self-isolation, beauty, joy, nostalgia and remembrance: Into The Blue Night, was inspired by bits of all of these emotions and how they intersected during the pandemic. Produced by Josh Korody, this is their first full-length album.
Opening track, “In Puzzles,” serves as an uplifting introduction and encapsulates the sense of freedom, lightness and excitement in a blossoming romance. It’s optimistic, with the euphoric guitar riff hitting you right in the heart, the verses wrapping you in a cozy blanket and the chorus feeling like levitation. Stefan Loebus was enlisted as the drummer, offering a blast of energy.
