Horror enthusiasts now have their longest preview yet of the highly anticipated sequel Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, with over eight minutes of footage streaming online. This extended teaser arrives alongside a fresh set of theatrical posters, fueling anticipation for the film’s release in March.
The new footage provides a deeper look into Grace’s next terrifying experience. It depicts a tense scene where Grace (Samara Weaving) and her estranged sister Faith (Kathryn Newton) are in the midst of makeshift medical treatment. Grace tends to injuries sustained during the chaos, with glass shards embedded in her arm, as Faith attempts to remove them. Their conversation reveals lingering family tensions as the sisters try to reconnect under impossible circumstances. Their fragile moment is interrupted when a masked man appears, forcing both women into survival mode.
This sequence captures the blend of violence, dark humor, and family dysfunction that made the 2019 original a cult hit. The sequel is directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, who previously directed the last two Scream films. The cast expands beyond Weaving and Newton, featuring Elijah Wood, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Shawn Hatosy, Kevin Durand, and legendary body horror filmmaker David Cronenberg. Nestor Carbonell and Olivia Cheng also join the ensemble.
