Hulu has released the official trailer for The Testaments, the highly anticipated sequel series to the acclaimed dystopian drama The Handmaid’s Tale. The coming-of-age thriller stars Golden Globe nominee Chase Infiniti (One Battle After Another) and is set to premiere on April 8, debuting with its first three episodes. The series arrives nearly a year after The Handmaid’s Tale concluded its six-season run.
According to the official synopsis, the story centers on two teenage girls living under the rule of Gilead. Agnes is a dutiful and devout young woman raised within the regime, while Daisy is a newcomer and recent convert who has arrived from outside Gilead’s borders. As the pair attend Aunt Lydia’s prestigious preparatory school for future wives—an institution where obedience is enforced with brutality and framed as divine duty—their growing connection begins to challenge the system around them.
