Hulu has unveiled a new trailer for Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair, a reboot of the beloved comedy series that features the return of original cast members including Frankie Muniz, Bryan Cranston, and more.
According to the official synopsis, the story follows Malcolm (Frankie Muniz) and his daughter as they become entangled in the family’s chaos when Hal (Bryan Cranston) and Lois (Jane Kaczmarek) insist he attend their 40th wedding anniversary celebration.
Set to premiere on April 10, 2026, on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+, Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair offers a glimpse of Malcolm’s life as an adult. The trailer highlights his efforts to distance himself from his tumultuous family life—yet, he, his girlfriend, and his daughter are soon pulled back into the chaos as his parents demand his presence at the special anniversary party.
In addition to Muniz and Cranston, the series will feature familiar faces such as Jane Kaczmarek as Lois, Christopher Kennedy Masterson as Francis, Justin Berfield as Reese, and Emy Coligado as Piama, Francis’s wife. New cast members include Caleb Ellsworth-Clark as Dewey, Anthony Timpano as Jamie (Hal and Lois’s fifth child), Vaughan Murrae, Keeley Karsten, Kiana Madeira, Craig Lamar Traylor, David Anthony Higgins, and Gary Anthony Williams.
Linwood Boomer returns as the writer and executive producer of the reboot, with Bryan Cranston also serving as an executive producer. Ken Kwapis is set to direct all four episodes and will also be an executive producer.
