Prime Video has just dropped the official trailer and confirmed the release date for Balls Up, an upcoming R-rated action comedy starring Academy Award nominee Mark Wahlberg.
Directed by Peter Farrelly (known for his Oscar-winning screenplay for Green Book and classics like Dumb and Dumber), the film promises a wild, raunchy ride. Wahlberg leads as Brad, a marketing executive teaming up with his colleague Elijah (played by Paul Walter Hauser of Black Bird fame) to pitch an outrageous sponsorship deal: a full-coverage condom brand as the official sponsor of the World Cup.
After a boozy celebration in Brazil spirals into a massive global scandal, the duo finds themselves on the run from enraged fans, dangerous criminals, and powerful officials. Their mission? Survive the chaos, save their careers, and make it back home in one piece.
The star-studded ensemble cast includes Benjamin Bratt (Miss Congeniality), Eva De Dominici (The Cleaning Lady), Daniela Melchior (Road House), Molly Shannon (Talladega Nights), Sacha Baron Cohen (Borat), and Eric André (Bad Trip).
Written by Deadpool duo Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, Balls Up clocks in at 104 minutes and is produced by Skydance and Amazon MGM Studios, with producers including Wernick, Reese, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Don Granger, and Andrew Muscato (Marc Fisher executive producing).
