The official trailer for the upcoming film I Love Boosters has been released, offering a glimpse into the chaotic world of high-stakes theft and high fashion. The story centers around the “Velvet Gang,” a daring group of “boosters” who target luxury fashion stores to steal designer items and resell them elsewhere. The trailer showcases their wild attempts to outwit a formidable fashion expert, Moore, who is determined to put an end to their antics regardless of the cost.
Alongside stars Palmer and Moore, the film features an impressive cast including LaKeith Stanfield, Naomi Ackie, Eiza González, Poppy Liu, Taylour Paige, and Will Poulter.
I Love Boosters is written and directed by Boots Riley, known for his prior work on the 2018 film Sorry to Bother You and the 2023 television series I’m a Virgo. The project is produced by Aaron Ryder, Andrew Swet, Allison Rose Carter, and Jon Read.
Palmer, recognized for her roles in Hustlers (2019), Nope (2022), and as the voice of Izzy Hawthorne in Lightyear (2022), brings her talent to the film. Moore recently starred alongside Margaret Qualley in The Substance, which is currently playing in U.S. theaters.
Naomi Ackie has been making waves with her recent appearances, including her role as Frida in Blink Twice (2024). She also appeared in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (2019), portrayed Whitney Houston in I Wanna Dance with Somebody (2022), and starred in Bong Joon-ho’s Mickey 17, released earlier this year.
