Paramount Pictures Sets Release Date for Brad Pitt’s Survival Thriller “Heart of the Beast”

Paramount Pictures has announced that the highly anticipated survival thriller “Heart of the Beast” will hit theaters on September 25, marking a reunion between Oscar-winning actor Brad Pitt and director David Ayer. The film is scheduled for release in late autumn, amidst a competitive movie slate.

Written by Cameron Alexander, “Heart of the Beast” tells the gripping story of a former Army Special Forces soldier and his retired combat dog navigating the treacherous Alaskan wilderness after surviving a devastating plane crash. The movie explores their fight for survival against the harsh elements and wild predators.
The film will face competition at the box office from DreamWorks’ “Forgotten Island,” starring Dave Franco and Jenny Slate, as well as a re-release of Marvel’s blockbuster “Avengers: Endgame.”

Brad Pitt stars alongside J.K. Simmons and Anna Lambe. The trailer, which debuted at CinemaCon last month, offered a glimpse into the evolving bond between Pitt’s character and his loyal dog. In one scene, Pitt’s character promises, “I’m gonna get you home,” after the crash, emphasizing the emotional stakes. The trailer also features a tense river crossing, where Pitt’s attempt to save his dog results in him falling into the water, and encounters with wild animals that heighten the film’s suspense.

“Heart of the Beast” marks Pitt and Ayer’s first collaboration since their 2014 World War II drama “Fury.” Ayer’s recent credits include “A Working Man,” “The Beekeeper,” “Suicide Squad,” and “Bright.” Pitt’s latest projects include the Oscar-nominated racing drama “Wolves,” directed by Joseph Kosinski, alongside Damson Idris, Kerry Condon, and Javier Bardem. His recent works also include “Wolves” with George Clooney and Damien Chazelle’s “Babylon.”

The film’s producers include Olivia Hamilton, Marty Bowen, David Ayer, and Brad Pitt himself. Executive producers feature Damien Chazelle, Scott Lumpkin, Cameron Alexander, Chris Long, Pete Chiappetta, Anthony Tittanegro, Andrew Lary, Sophie Cassidy, and Zack Conroy.

As of now, the official trailer for “Heart of the Beast” has not yet been released.
