Following recent singles “Kiss The City” and “Like A Mantra,” Petey USA returns with “Save For The Horses,” a bouncy, shimmering left turn that finds the Los Angeles based songwriter embracing glossy 80s synth-pop without losing sight of the brutally self-aware confessionals that have become his signature.
Petey has always had a way of making an existential crisis sound triumphant, and on “Save For The Horses,” he pulls from the golden age of 80s pop to unleash one of his most revealing songs yet. Funky bass and synths, vintage drum pads, and quirky vocal flourishes throughout give the song a nostalgic backdrop to a mind that’s moving a mile a minute.
“Save For The Horses” is the latest in a string of self-produced tracks that feel less than standalone release and more like chapters in a much larger unraveling. “Kiss The City” imagined escape as the ultimate salvation, chasing the idea that changing your environment might somehow solve your problems. Then, on “Like A Mantra,” he recognized that maybe it’s actually our own habits and insecurities that get in the way. Now, he pushes the conversation even further, allowing every contradiction to exist at the same time.

After a long year discovering what happens after you tell the truth, talker returns with “Strangers,” a new song that realizes the hardest relationships to let go of are the ones you never wanted to lose in the first place. It’s the latest song to be released from Los Angeles songwriter Celeste Tauchar‘s upcoming album, Runaway Jane, out July 31, and lands just before a run of shows supporting Alex Lahey this weekend.
Runaway Jane embraces the beauty of a messy transformation, and “Strangers” captures that sentiment perfectly, combining soaring guitars with gritty songwriting that stings in its solace. The track was written alongside members of LA electro-pop trio Moontower.
“There are a lot of reasons that two people can become strangers,” Celeste explains. “Often, time just pulls people in different directions, there’s too much distance, or you just grow apart. This song is about what happens when you want to stay close to someone so badly but the energy it takes to get through to them is more like a dying star than a spark.”
London-based pianist, producer and vocalist patch_t41b returns with his second EP, ‘EP_02’, a five-track collection that expands on the improvisational foundations of his debut while introducing a broader instrumental palette. Built around instinct rather than convention, the record balances fragmented electronics, distorted instrumentation and moments of striking melodic clarity. Echoes thread through each composition, becoming as integral to the music as the instruments themselves.
urich-based brothers Georg and Christoph Kiss, aka Okvsho, return with ‘Where moments wait’, the third single from their forthcoming album Frozen Flashes. It’s due for release Wednesday 15th July 2026 via Current Moves.

Andy Butler today releases Danseur PT 1, the first installment of Hercules & Love Affair’s two-part Danseur EP, via Stratasonic Records. Featuring the singles “I Get High,” “My Journey,” “The Eyes of Love,” and a cover of Book of Love’s “Boy,” the four-track release continues Butler’s exploration of queer history through the language of the dancefloor.
Danseur PT 1 boldly moves like a resident DJ set from one of the legendary clubs it is indebted to. From the peaks of “I Get High” and “My Journey” to the moodiness of “The Eyes of Love” and Butler’s cover of Book of Love’s “Boy,” the EP channels the worlds of Blitz and Taboo through the people who helped define them.
The body of work is dedicated to Taboo resident DJ Jeffrey Hinton, whose artwork from his personal archive appears throughout the physical release, and both he and Princess Julia—the Blitz Kid, DJ, fashion icon, and unforgettable face of Visage’s “Fade to Grey”—are featured in discussion with Andy in the EP’s accompanying artwork designed by Josh Quinton. Butler’s promotional photography references iconic portraits from the period. There is also a Q&A between Andy and the Pet Shop Boys that discusses how synthesizer music changed things for them and the world. Rather than treating these touchstones as nostalgic inspiration, Butler reconnects them with the present, bringing the original architects of the scene into dialogue with a modern record.
Ian Cobiella is the son of Cuban and Bolivian immigrants, and grew up with classical piano as his first language — years of technique, discipline, and exertion. Giving all is found in the music: the Cuban rhythms, the formal training and unraveling of it, the warmth underneath. The Los Angeles musician carried all of it into a sound that sits between classical arrangements and alternative pop.His EP, All I Have I Give, out now, and its origin story is as specific as the music. To fund the sessions, Cobiella worked on a farm in Agua Dulce. String sections were too expensive, so he rented a cello and taught himself to play it in roughly four weeks. He built the live session that became the record’s visual centerpiece at a warehouse in East Los Angeles belonging to Cuban artist Enrique Martinez Celaya.The five tracks move across a range of emotional registers without losing their center of gravity. Built around Cobiella’s piano and a rotating ensemble — strings, Cuban rhythms, choirs — they are manic and fun for a reason. He loved getting there in the writing, recording, and performance. To sit in discomfort and learn from it is something he wants to feel in every moment of the process. That tension is the point.

“‘Liar’ is based on the time I found a friend crying on my stoop and our discussion on trauma and pain.
