On Thursday night in Los Angeles, Becky G marked the release of her fifth studio album, BARAJA BENDITA, with a star-studded celebration at NOVA Studios, hosted by PATRÓN Tequila. The intimate, high-energy evening brought together friends, collaborators and fellow artists—including Kali Uchis, Cierra Ramirez and DANNA—for a first listen to the highly anticipated 17-track project just hours before its global release.

With music filling the room and guests dancing throughout the night, the celebration offered a fitting introduction to an album that finds Becky G at her most personal and self-assured.

Premium PATRÓN cocktails flowed throughout the evening, including the “PATRÓNA,” made with PATRÓN Silver, alongside the “BB” and “Mexicana Bombom,” both crafted with PATRÓN Reposado. Taking center stage on the back bar was the limited-edition Our Rainwater PATRÓN Silver collectible tin, the latest collaboration between Becky G and the tequila brand. The initiative supports awareness around reliable water access for local communities in the Jalisco, Mexico region in collaboration with nonprofit Isla Urbana, adding a philanthropic dimension to the night’s festivities.

Released via RCA Records, BARAJA BENDITA represents a significant artistic statement for Becky G. Rather than positioning the album as a reinvention, the singer uses the project to bring together the many sides of her identity—vulnerability and confidence, instinct and intention, intimacy and power.

At the heart of the album is the symbolism of a deck of cards. BARAJA BENDITA explores the tension between chance and agency, built around the idea that life isn’t simply about the hand you’re dealt, but about taking control of how you play it. Each of the album’s 17 songs represents a different move, perspective or emotional state, with its meaning shifting as part of the larger story.

That concept also introduces “BB” as a creative signature connecting Becky G, Rebbeca and BARAJA BENDITA. It becomes a symbol of duality and ownership—and of the freedom to embrace every version of yourself without having to choose just one.

BARAJA BENDITA is about trusting myself enough to stop choosing between different parts of who I am,” Becky G says. “For so long, people wanted to define me by one thing: one language, one sound, one version of myself. This album isn’t about becoming someone new. It’s about fully owning every part of who I’ve always been.”

The album’s focus track, “CHULA,” captures that spirit. Built around a word with deep resonance across Latin culture, the song embraces “chula” as both a term of endearment and an expression of confidence, beauty and unapologetic “baddie” energy.

Notably, BARAJA BENDITA was created without guest features, allowing Becky G to place her own voice and story at the center of the project. Working with an accomplished roster of collaborators behind the scenes, she moves across pop, Latin, electronic, alternative and urban influences, creating a soundscape that feels deliberately expansive while remaining connected to a single emotional narrative.

The album’s visual world is already beginning to take shape. The VEVO Official Live Performance of “2AM” offers a first glimpse, placing Becky in a dreamlike environment of warm tones, rich textures and layered details. The performance is the first installment of an exclusive series of videos set to roll out in the coming weeks.

The release arrives during an especially busy period for Becky G, whose year has been defined by major live appearances and collaborations. Earlier this year, she joined KAROL G during her headlining Coachella performance before reuniting with her as a special guest on select dates of the Viajando Por El Mundo: Tropitour. Following her Toronto appearance, Becky is set to join the tour in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, San Antonio, El Paso and East Rutherford, New Jersey.

She will also headline the 2026 Coliseum Concert Series at the Arizona State Fair on October 9, continuing a run of career-defining live performances. Beyond her own album campaign, Becky recently joined forces with Benny Blanco and Selena Gomez on their single “Te Olvido (La La).”

For Becky G, BARAJA BENDITA arrives as more than another album release. It is a declaration of creative ownership—a project built around the idea that identity doesn’t have to be singular, and that every side of an artist can belong in the same story.
