Miley Cyrus is entering a new chapter with the announcement of her 10th studio album, ‘Bass Persuades’, while also preparing to make her long-awaited return to the stage.
The new album is set to arrive on September 18, 2026, marking Cyrus’ first full-length project since 2025’s Something Beautiful. The singer has been teasing the new era in recent weeks, building anticipation around a project that appears to embrace a more emotionally driven and bass-heavy sound.
Cyrus has described Bass Persuades as an album about the many ways music connects with us, from moments of happiness and love to heartbreak and vulnerability.
The record will be released through Atlantic Records and represents another significant evolution for an artist who has continually reinvented herself throughout her career.
The album announcement also comes with a major live-performance reveal. Cyrus will take the stage at Los Angeles’ legendary Hollywood Bowl for two special shows on October 16 and October 18.
The performances will be particularly significant for fans, as Cyrus has largely stepped away from traditional touring in recent years. Her upcoming Hollywood Bowl appearances therefore offer a rare opportunity to see the Grammy-winning singer perform her new material live.
The shows will feature Model/Actriz as special guests, adding another intriguing element to what promises to be an unconventional return to the stage.
Cyrus has also recently begun presenting herself professionally simply as Miley, dropping “Cyrus” from her website and social media branding as she prepares to enter this new era. The move adds another layer to the sense that Bass Persuades represents a fresh stage in her artistic identity.
The announcement arrives shortly after the death of Cyrus’ godmother and country music icon Dolly Parton, who died in August at the age of 80. Parton had been an important figure throughout Cyrus’ life and career, making the timing of this new musical chapter particularly poignant.
While details surrounding the album’s full sound are still emerging, early promotional material has suggested a more guitar-driven and rock-oriented direction. The project is expected to contain 10 tracks, continuing Cyrus’ tendency to use each album as an opportunity to explore a different side of her musical personality.
Following the ambitious visual and conceptual approach of Something Beautiful, it will be interesting to see where Cyrus takes things next with Bass Persuades.
One thing is certain: with a new album arriving in September and two Hollywood Bowl performances following in October, Miley is officially entering a new era — and this one could be one of her most intriguing yet.
