Christmas is supposed to be the most wonderful time of the year, but Christmas at the Kringles is turning the holiday season into a bloody nightmare.
The upcoming horror comedy, directed by Kevin Lewis (Willy’s Wonderland, Pig Hill), follows the Severson family as they move into a seemingly peaceful suburban neighborhood. Their new neighbors, the Kringles, appear friendly enough—but there’s something deeply unsettling about a family that celebrates Christmas all year round.
The official synopsis reads: “The story follows the Seversons, a family starting fresh in a quiet suburban neighborhood, whose next-door neighbors, the Kringles, celebrate Christmas year-round. What begins as charming quickly turns unsettling, as Mark and Julie grow concerned about their son’s growing attachment to the family. After a heated confrontation, Mark heads next door to bring his family home only to uncover the Kringles’ true intentions: to hypnotize and indoctrinate them.”
The newly released trailer introduces viewers to the Seversons as they settle into their new home and meet the eccentric Kringles. At first, their year-round Christmas celebrations seem unusual but harmless. However, their cheerful facade quickly begins to crack.
“You probably think of Christmas as the most wonderful time of the year, the one day when the world stops to celebrate joy,” the trailer teases. “But around here, we know better. Come on in, neighbors.”
Things soon take a violent turn when the Seversons discover the disturbing truth behind their neighbors. What begins as an idyllic suburban experience descends into a chaotic bloodbath, forcing Mark Severson into a desperate fight to save his family.
Mark won’t be facing the Kringles alone, however. He eventually joins forces with a rogue and decidedly badass Santa, setting the stage for an over-the-top, action-packed battle against the mysterious family.
The film features an ensemble cast including Ron Livingston, Rachel Bilson, Rob Riggle, Arden Myrin, Beverly D’Angelo, David Wain, Thomas Lennon, and Donald Faison.
Christmas at the Kringles is written by Zack Imbrogno. Andrew Ortenberg, Tom Ortenberg, Liam Finn, Kevin Lewis, and Jordan Dykstra serve as producers.
Briarcliff Entertainment will release Christmas at the Kringles exclusively in theaters on October 30, 2026, just in time to give audiences a very different kind of holiday horror story.
