The new trailer for The Only Living Pickpocket in New York has arrived, offering a first look at John Turturro as an aging thief trying to survive in a city where technology has made his old-fashioned trade increasingly obsolete.
Written and directed by Noah Segan, the crime thriller follows Harry Lehman (Turturro), a veteran pickpocket whose earnings have steadily declined as New York has embraced a cashless, digital way of life. No longer able to rely on wallets filled with cash, Harry struggles to make ends meet while caring for his disabled wife, Rosie.
The trailer shows Harry continuing to work the streets and subway system of New York City, attempting to practice a trade that is rapidly becoming a thing of the past. But his fortunes take a dramatic turn when he accidentally steals a highly valuable USB drive from the wrong person.
What begins as an ordinary pickpocketing job quickly becomes a race against time. With a dangerous crime family searching for the missing device, Harry must find a way to return the mysterious item before his mistake puts Rosie and his other loved ones in danger.
Giancarlo Esposito stars as Detective Allan Warren, with the film also featuring Steve Buscemi, Tatiana Maslany, Victoria Moroles, Will Price, and Jamie Lee Curtis in supporting roles.
The Only Living Pickpocket in New York will open in limited theaters in New York and Los Angeles on October 23, 2026, before expanding nationwide on October 30.
