Front row, campaign star and now runway model. Apple Martin officially made her catwalk debut at Paris Fashion Week, and she did it at Chloé.
The 22-year-old daughter of Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin walked in Chloé’s spring 2027 show on Thursday, Oct. 1, according to WWD. She wore a white broderie anglaise dress from designer Chemena Kamali’s new collection, complete with pintucking, eyelet flowers, a ruffled placket and billowing sleeves, finished with a pair of brown platform sandals that gave her a few extra inches for her first walk.
The look was right on theme for the collection. WWD reports that broderie anglaise dominated the opening portion of the show, appearing in cotton, chiffon and organza and even showing up on accessories.
Martin’s mom wasn’t in the audience. According to Page Six, Paltrow skipped the show and watched her daughter’s big moment from afar, letting Martin have the spotlight all to herself.
The casting didn’t come out of nowhere. Martin landed her first Chloé campaign in May, shot by David Sims for the brand’s Chloé à la Plage summer collection, which featured breezy dresses, broderie anglaise and beachwear. WWD traces her steady climb in fashion, from sitting front row at Chanel couture in 2023 to her society debut at Le Bal des Débutantes in Paris the following year, to becoming a Self-Portrait ambassador in 2025. She has also appeared in a GapStudio campaign alongside Paltrow, and Page Six notes she has scored a solo spread in Vogue.
Martin has been open about the privilege that comes with her famous name. “I know this is not a normal way to grow up by any means,” she told the Telegraph in October 2025, as Page Six recalls. “My parents did a really good job of instilling in me that I shouldn’t be entitled to anything … I have to work.”
She is joining a long line of famous kids who made the leap to the runway. WWD points to Kaia Gerber, who debuted at Calvin Klein at 16, Lila Moss at Miu Miu, Sunday Rose Kidman-Urban, who opened Miu Miu’s spring 2025 show, and Kai Schreiber, who walked for Valentino. Unlike some of those overnight debuts, WWD notes that Martin’s path has been slower and more gradual, moving from guest to campaign star to house collaborator before she ever hit the catwalk.
