Netflix has unveiled the official trailer for In a Holidaze, a festive romantic comedy starring Maddie Ziegler and Rob Lowe that puts a time-loop twist on the chaos of Christmas. Based on the bestselling 2020 novel by Christina Lauren, the upcoming film is set to premiere globally on Netflix on December 2, 2026.

Directed by Tiffany Paulsen, the film follows Mae Harper (Ziegler), a directionless young woman whose holiday getaway takes an unexpected turn after a disastrous romantic decision leaves her questioning her life and what she truly wants.

The newly released trailer introduces Mae as she navigates a complicated love triangle involving brothers Andrew (Graham Phillips) and Theo (Elias Kacavas). After accidentally kissing Theo instead of Andrew, the man she has secretly loved for a year, Mae believes she has ruined Christmas.

However, her romantic predicament is only part of the problem. With her parents recently divorced and her family’s beloved Utah cabin potentially facing its final Christmas gathering before being sold, Mae is already struggling to find her footing.

Things take a surreal turn when Mae discovers she is reliving the same holiday repeatedly. Given another chance to experience Christmas, she must reconsider her romantic choices, confront her fears and work out what will genuinely make her happy.

Rob Lowe plays Benny, Mae’s unconventional pseudo-uncle, who offers advice as she attempts to make sense of her increasingly bizarre circumstances. The film also stars Patton Oswalt and Jackie Sandler as Mae’s parents, alongside Andrea Anders, Gil Bellows, Meredith Salenger and Christopher Shyer.

Blending festive romance, family drama and a supernatural time-loop premise, In a Holidaze looks set to bring a fresh spin to Netflix’s Christmas movie lineup. With its snowy cabin setting, tangled relationships and themes of self-discovery, the film explores the possibility of getting a second chance when life doesn’t go according to plan.

In a Holidaze premieres globally on Netflix on December 2, 2026.
