Jackie Chan is back in action with The Shadow’s Edge, a crime thriller that pits a retired surveillance expert against a dangerous criminal mastermind. Directed by Larry Yang, the film follows a team of Macau police officers as they attempt to track down a group of highly skilled criminals responsible for a multibillion-dollar heist.
The Shadow’s Edge will be available for digital rental and purchase on November 3, 2026. The film also stars Tony Leung Ka-Fai as the elusive criminal mastermind known as “The Shadow.” Its trailer offers a glimpse of high-speed car chases, intense hand-to-hand combat, and a high-stakes pursuit between law enforcement and a criminal crew determined to stay one step ahead.

The story centers on a team of criminals who steal billions before disappearing without a trace. Unable to track down the suspects using conventional methods, the Macau police turn to a retired surveillance expert, played by Chan, for help.
Returning to the field, Chan’s character draws on his extensive experience to assemble a specialized unit tasked with uncovering the criminals’ identities and predicting their next moves. Their investigation eventually leads them to “The Shadow,” played by Leung Ka-Fai, whose intelligence and ability to evade capture make him a formidable opponent.
As the investigation intensifies, the police find themselves locked in a dangerous game of strategy and deception. A Strong Ensemble Cast
Joining Chan and Leung Ka-Fai is Zhang Zifeng, who portrays He Qiuguo, a rookie police officer involved in the investigation. Ci Sha plays Simon, while Wen Junhui takes on the role of Hu Feng. The supporting cast also includes Zhengjie Zhou as Liu Jinxiao and Ziyi Wang as Wu Yaolei.
Behind the camera, Yang directs the film, adding to a body of work that includes Mountain Cry and Ride On. Chan, meanwhile, brings decades of action-film experience to the project, having starred in popular franchises and films such as Police Story and Rush Hour. Leung Ka-Fai, known for his performances in Prison on Fire and A Better Tomorrow III, joins him as the central antagonist.
