INsiders Guide : Jessie James Decker, Spirit Award, Here Are The Lions, DDG, Ziggy Alberts

Jessie James Decker: “Boots” is the brand new single from country powerhouse Jessie James Decker. The hot new single shows off her brassy vocal as well as a true to country pop instrumental. “Boots” has all the signature attributes of yet another hit. It’s been almost a year since the country star dropped her debut album via Epic Records called “Southern Girl City Lights”,  debuted as the #1 Country Album on iTunes and arrived as a chart-topping entry on Billboard’s Top Country Albums. Decker has clearly shown she’s a force to be reckoned with in the country genre, and we can see big things on the horizon for this star,

Spirit Award: This Seattle indie psych band is back with a brand new song ‘Dark Night Of The Soul’. The singles title originates from the term used to describe what one could call a collapse of a perceived meaning in life – an eruption into your life of a deep sense of meaningless. Spirit Award have received acclaim from media outlets like NPR, Earmilk, The Line of Best Fit, among many more. ‘Dark Night Of The Soul’ comes from their forthcoming album ‘Muted Crowd’, which is set for release due in October via Union Zero. “The idea for this came when I was going through a transformation/change in my own life,” vocalist Daniel Lyon explains. “The ‘dark night of the soul’ is a term that goes back a long time. It is a term used to describe what one could call a collapse of a perceived meaning in life…an eruption into your life of a deep sense of meaninglessness.”

Here Are The Lions: This rock group are unique in the sense they embody elements of electronic and urban instrumentals into their sound. HATL are under the musical guidance of Bernard-P. Boyer and is a collaboration of multiple musicians from around the world, coming together to create a musical experience. The band recently released the video for the single “UNSATISFIED”, which features 4 variations of dance. This is the first single from the bands forthcoming EP, due out November.

DDG: “Young, Rich & Black” is the brand new song from this up and coming rapper. It conveys a positive message, which is established at the beginning of the video for the single. It details a story from the 1960’s, when black and white concert goers were separated and prohibited from standing next to one another. Expect big things from this artist in the coming years. The song was released via Epic Records.

Ziggy Alberts: “If you like powerful, soulful voices like Dermot Kennedy and storytellers like Vance Joy, then this is for you.” – Substream. Fitting words to describe this up and coming Australian singer/songwriter, who has released the track “Stronger”. Ziggy manages to capture emotions and pull on heartstrings, as his lyrics beautifully depict a story of how you feel in your most vulnerable state of loving someone. The single is taken from his forthcoming album “Laps Around The Sun” which is slated for release November 9th, something his fans are highly anticipating. Ziggy described the new single stronger saying “Unlike a lot of songs where you are trying to consider people being able to relate to the story, Stronger was very much a first-person account of a conversation – explaining and convincing the need-to-knows of being with a touring musician.”
