INsiders Guide: Marshall, Emily Taylor Adams, The Astronots and Myylo’s new EP

I was sent this epic new song from artist Marshallentitled “Shadows” it’s the second track from his debut album “Layers” due out later this year. On the song Marshall said;

“‘Shadows’ isn’t so much a story. It’s really more of a thought or even a frustration. It’s the inability of the mind not being able to communicate what it truly wants to say”.

The world was introduced to Marshall when he released his debut single last fall called “I Could Be The One”, from there Marshall caught the attention of many music lovers. “Shadows” is available now.

Country artist Emily Taylor Adams has a new single out now called “Leave The Light On“. Emily Taylor Adams reflects on finding the kind of love that lasts lifetimes with this new song. She was the BCCMA Female Vocalist of the Year and CCMA Discovery Showcase Winner, and from that moment this breath taking artists began creating magic.With a soulful voice, she encapsulates a mix of influences including Patsy Cline and Deanna Carter, while still maintaining  modern pop sounds.

The new single “Leave The Light On” is written by Adams and Beth Marie Anderson, and evokes layers of emotion and delicate acoustic instrumentals. It was inspired by the idea of knowing love the moment it walks in the door and allowing yourself to be vulnerable enough to let it sweep you off your feet. Be sure to check out Emily Taylor Adams romantic journey below.

‘Settle Down’ narrates the feeling of anxiety and being trapped inside yourself, and it’s the brand new track from The Astronots. This American rock’n’roll outfit, spearheaded by its founding members, Niko Giaimo (Vocals/Guitar) and Allee Futterer (Vocals/Bass). Inspired by the likes of Led Zeppelin, Alabama Shakes and Kings of Leon, the trio have crafted an EP oozing with gritty guitars, explosive percussion and raw energy. The highly anticipated “Cotati” is brought to life through its organic instrumentation and authentic lyricism. “We really wanted to capture something honest. The songs cover a variety of issues.. school/public mass shootings, anxiety, drinking, love, pain, passion, cheating.. I think we managed to create individual genuine stories in each song. I think the theme would be honest perspective on many of life’s challenges”, they reveal.

The Astronots garage sound has lent itself to placements on film and TV, as well as curated playlists and blogs. The Astronots song, ‘Black Milk’ from their 2017 E.P Strange Terrain was featured on the CBS hit television show Life in Pieces. While their song ‘Begging for More’ was placed in Andrew Garfield’s 2018 feature film, Under The Silver Lake. The Astronots propel into 2019 with the highly anticipated release of “Cotati”.

Dropping March 8th, pop artist Myylo will be releasing his new EP called “I’m A Nice Boy”. With a series of releases under his belt, the emerging pop act looks to continue his juggernaut of hit singles with this new EP. After participating in a week-long Colorado writing trip with Mike Posner, and another with Grammy award winner Baby Face and Spotify Secret Genuis, Myylo is set to release his EP “I’m A Nice Boy” in conjunction with a 10 day tour of the East Coast.

The new EP contains a variety of hit songs pulsating with deep bass lines and quotable lyrics that address queer love, an obsessive boy crazy attitude, and a high key dose of melodrama. Offering some insight into “I’m A Nice Boy”, Myylo explains,

“I think there’s this fresh space for queer artists to make underground diary-entry pop. And, that’s the movement I want to be a part of – the one that inserts stories of who we are into every corner of the internet. To be honest, my initial intention with I’m A Nice Boy was just to chronicle various episodes of my dating life and to make art that would lead to my own personal catharsis. But, I’ve been gratified more and more by people DMing me on Instagram saying that they connect with my songs – that they feel seen. There’s something powerful about having your story told in the art you consume and I want to help create that feeling for people.”
