Euphoria actress Sydney Sweeney is set to star in the new ‘Barbarella’ film from Sony Pictures. The film is based on Jean-Claude Forest’s French comic book series that was turned into a 1968 movie starring Jane Fonda.
“Barbarella” is an intergalactic explorer from the 41st century. She hunts down the villainous scientist Durand Durand and the dangerous laser technology that human intelligence suspects he has developed. Along her journey, Barbarella encounters a variety of strange beings who challenge her vision of the galaxy.
