INsiders Guide: GIVĒON, OOO:AFRO, BILK, Velvet Beach, DEUX FURIEUSES, REFS, NOAH GUY, CHLOE JANE, SUSIE SUH, Addison Grace, BAKAR, Sizzy Rocket, Emm Gryner, BAHARI…

GIVĒON has always used his raw, evocative songwriting to mine a confusing world for answers, and that approach has connected to the tune of over 1 billion global streams and nearly 1 billion YouTube views thus far. But, lately he’s been fixed on a problem he can’t solve. As he puts it, “Sometimes the truth is rewarded, and sometimes it’s frowned upon. Does a little deception make us feel better?” This sort of tension is at the heart of GIVĒON’s work. His debut album Give or Take shows off the emotional curiosity and deep warmth of his songs over cinematic R&B arrangements. This sensitivity and love for storytelling traces back to his upbringing in Long Beach, CA, where his mother shielded him and his brothers from the area’s gang culture and encouraged him to sing. After years of hustle, he bonded with producer Sevn Thomas (Drake, Rihanna) in 2019 and placed “Chicago Freestyle” on Drake’s 2020 mixtape Dark Lane Demo Tapes. GIVĒON’s March 2020 debut EP Take Time held his first top 40 Hot 100 hit, “Heartbreak Anniversary,” and by March 2021, his When It’s All Said and Done… Take Time compilation debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 (It’s since gone Platinum, and highlight “All to Me” went Gold—his 10th RIAA certification). Since then, the seven-time Grammy nominee has been forging connections in person on tour, and he’s been hard at work writing Give or Take. Its arrival shows just how much he’s grown, both as an introspective songwriter and an empathetic human being.

Warner Music’s buzzy new label OUT OF ORDER (OOO), under Warner’s Emerging Markets division, celebrates their official launch with the exciting release of their inaugural compilation album, titled OOO: AFRO.

The innovative compilation album, curated by the OUT OF ORDER label in partnership with Warner Africa, is the first in a series of themed, dance-leaning albums to be released by OUT OF ORDER; the compilations will focus on capturing signature sounds from a particular global region.

Taking shape as a masterful ten track collection, OOO: AFRO is a divinely eclectic range of finely crafted Amapiano and Afrobeats tracks complemented by deep house and electronica moments, with the record offering a glimpse into the hotbed of sounds simmering across the African region – while also proving the endless capabilities of OUT OF ORDER’s concept.

Standouts on OOO: AFRO undeniably come via “Duro”, a sizzling Afrobeats rapture helmed by British-Nigerian singer-songwriter Moelogo and super-producer P.Priime – the young Nigerian hitmaker behind some of the region’s hugest international smashes from the likes of Olamide, Wizkid, Fireboy DML and Zlatan to name a few. P.Priime’s coveted presence adds weighty credibility to the label’s debut compilation; the superstar producer joins a star-studded line up including South Africa’s reigning dance diva Makhadzi – lending her glorious vocals to OOO: AFRO’s second single “Ndi Linde” – and the deep house duo Artwork Sounds for Amapiano gem “Inkululeko” (OOO: AFRO’s first single), as well as the highly influential Polokwane DJ Da Capo for “Decisions”.
Meanwhile, OOO: AFRO’s guestlist of rising underground talent like soulful vocalist Naye Ayla and feisty rapper Rouge on “I’ll Wait” offer an intriguing insight into fresh new names, as well as the bouncy Afrobeat rhythms in Jahblend and Bryan The Mensah’s “No Yawa.”

Rapid-rising Essex punk outfit Bilk unleashes their high-octane, swaggering rock record “Be Someone” – released via the Manchester record label Scruff Of The Neck.

Forming a reputation as one of the most exciting young acts on the underground, Essex-born creative powerhouse Bilk is comprised of Sol Abrahams (guitarist and lead singer), Luke Hare (bassist) and Harry Gray (drummer). The collective’s electric chemistry is on full display across their newest offering “Be Someone”. Anthemic guitar chords and power-charging drums set foundation for Sol’s cocky, whip-smart lyricism – elevated by fiery tones and the kind of tongue-in-check charm that will continue the growing attention around the rising outfit. Offering gritty authenticity with melodic punk sounds, Bilk are carving their own lane with a polish and verve that belie their relatively young ages.

Since bursting onto the map with their breakout 2018 record “Spiked” (1.5M streams), Bilk’s muses of Arctic Monkeys, The Jam and Eminem go some way towards explaining their blend of indie, rap and punk; It’s a unique style that’s seen them build to well over 6M streams on Spotify alone, as well cut their teeth with an incendiary debut performance with BBC Introducing at Reading & Leeds Festival this summer.

Velvet Beach are an independent band from Toronto. Originally formed by members of Newcomer. Matias Gutierrez and Martin Camara were then joined by Sean Stover (Silus, The Honeycomb Flyers) and Meagan Aversa. Formed in late 2021, Velvet Beach has performed regularly in and around the Toronto music scene. Fusing a wide range of sonic elements with emotive lyrics, the band arrives at a unique sound through each member.

Existing somewhere between shoegaze, dream pop, and new wave, Velvet Beach strive for authenticity without forgetting some of their core influences such as The Cure, Beach House, and Slowdive. The band have been lauded for their unique live sound and diverse repertoire.

On September 30th, they released their debut single “Youth,” an homage to their shoegaze forebearers where lead singer Matias Gutierrez meditates on the fragmented memories of his childhood. They are very excited for the release of their next single, “Home (Is It True?),” a dream pop tune that feels like the beginning of a love story but whose lyrics evoke melancholic images of doubt and uncertainty.

Everyone knows that all great things come in threes, and today – DEUX FURIEUSES – deliver the goods with their seismic third album ‘Songs From Planet Earth’.

STREAM ‘SONGS FROM PLANET EARTH’ ON ALL SERVICES HERE

An album of hope and fire that burns all the brighter in these darkest of times, it finds the duo of Ros Cairney and Vas Antoniadou rising up with some of their most incendiary work to date.

10 tracks for the here and now, ‘Songs From Planet Earth’ stands against the tides of political turmoil, societal inequalities and climate emergency with a barrage of ragged alt/rock inflected sounds. Amongst its ranks are the insurrectionary singles including “Our Day Will Come”, “All We Need Is Sanctuary”, “Know The Score” and the Boris Johnson-toppling “Bring Down The Government”, all of which contribute to this essential new effort.

Speaking about the album upon its release today, Deux Furieuses say:

“‘Songs From Planet Earth’ is a beating heart signal out from this world as we fall spinning into a vortex of pandemic, isolation, avoidable deaths, political corruption, personal mourning and ultimately survival. The album documents Ros’ journey through the pandemic from the city to the countryside in search of sanctuary.”

Having spent the past few weeks since their return revealing a series of stunning offerings from their debut project, today NYC/ Berlin duo Refs ( Dessauer & Rich) reveal their project in full, New Religion.  Led by ‘ I Should Be Alone Right Now’ featuring Kevin Garrett, the album beautifully marries the gorgeous tones of Rich with the innovative beats of Dessauer, creating a body of work showcasing their unique chemistry.  The pair have scored millions of streams and gained widescale acclaim from areas such as Noisey, Pigeons & Planes, Complex and more. Speaking on the project, Rich states:

I look at NEW RELIGION as my quarantine album. I wrote most of the melodies and lyrics for this project to Dessauer’s beats at the beginning of lockdown in 2020 in the span of a few weeks. The beginning of the pandemic involved a long, hard metaphorical look in the mirror for me. This album is a bad dream/an elegy/an attempt to examine my own subconscious.

Dessauer continues:

we are ancient animals in modern architecture. these songs stem from most primal parts of the human experience.

Salt Lake City-based rising bedroom pop musician Addison Grace shares their bold, highly anticipated sophomore EP Things That Are Bad For Me out everywhere now along with the latest single, “Everybody Seems to Love You“. Hear the new music and more live throughout November as Addison joins Ricky Montgomery for a West Coast run beginning November 14 in Phoenix, AZ. Grab tickets via addisongrace.xyz/tour.

Addison Grace’s second, five track EP, Things That Are Bad For Me expands on the vulnerable sonic world built with their May 2022 EP Immaturing. Where the previously shared, often light-hearted project chronicles growing up and navigating the challenging aspects of discovering one’s identity, the follow up collection embraces the darker, harder parts of this new understanding and self-acceptance. Over a new set of five tracks, Grace shares the forthcoming EP is exactly what the title says, explaining, “It’s a journey of self indulgence and depreciation, jealousy, pain, and acceptance. I’d always had a hard time with comparison and self acceptance and that started to show in my songwriting. I was indulging in such awful feelings. Now, I feel each song tells its own story and spirals into different reasons of why I was struggling up until the last song, “If Nobody Likes U,” where you can hear I was finally learning self-acceptance. Grace continues, “While the ‘Immaturing’ EP was my journey of growing up, discovering myself, and transitioning, ‘Things That Are Bad for Me’ is the journey of not only learning to live with yourself but also learning to feel those difficult, gross emotions and be able to accept them.” With each release, Grace further discovers themselves, growing with an ever-expanding audience that is eager to grow with them.

“Everybody Seems to Love You,” the EP’s latest single, opens with a thundering, gritty electronic guitar riff–a sound more amplified and rock-leaning than many of Grace’s prior releases. On the track, Grace wrestles with conflicting feelings towards someone who is well-liked by many, adding, “the track walks the line between jealousy and adoration. It’s loving someone so much that you end up hating them. It’s hating how adored they are by a crowd and then falling into the trap of being a part of that crowd. The entire song is filled with having those strong, contradicting feelings towards someone and thinking it can only be resolved by either being with them or getting rid of them.”

“there is power in picking yourself back up after everything falls apart and reclaiming your love for your own life,” says Rocket. “laughing it off. moving on.”

“i will always remember this era as the one where i picked myself up off the floor threw some glitter on and fucking slayyyyyyyyyyyyed,” Rocket continues via Twitter.

Live Laugh Love is heralded by four highlight advance-tracks, including “Rebel Revolution,” – an electrically charged rock ‘n roll paean to self-love and transformation, made with Benny Reiner and 3x GRAMMY® Award-nominated super-producer Fernando Garibay (Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj, Britney Spears) – as well as “Wendy’s Parking Lot,” title track “Live Laugh Love” and “BUBBLEGUM.” “BUBBLEGUM” is accompanied by an official music video made with long-time collaborator Worst November. Rocket and Worst November filmed on the Q train in New York this past September, capturing the empowered artist letting loose in a deserted train car, sporting grungy glamor looks and blissfully rocking out to her guitar heavy anthem.

Emm Gryner is an award- winning singer, songwriter, actor and best-selling author.

Emm sang and played keyboards in David Bowie’s band, and appears on numerous recordings, including his landmark 1999 SNL appearance, Bowie at The Beeb and Toy. Bowie’s acclaimed Glastonbury 2000 documents her performance in front of more than 100,000 fans at Worthy Farm.

With her rock band Trapper, Gryner shared arena stages with Def Leppard, and she also helped coordinate and create the first music video recorded in outer space to the world (Space Oddity with Commander Chris Hadfield).

Detroit radio formed the soundtrack of Emm’s life and career and her brand new record is a celebration of that music. From Motown, jazz and pop, to Steely Dan, Fleetwood Mac and the Doobies, Business & Pleasure is infused with the sunshine soul and stellar playing of the late 70s and early 80s. These songs, produced by Fred Mollin, written with poet Michael Holmes, and recorded with drummer Shannon Forrest (Toto), keyboardist Pat Coil (Michael McDonald), bassist Larry Paxton (Alison Krauss), and guitarists Tom Bukovac (Taylor Swift) and Pat Buchanan (Hall & Oates, Dolly Parton), embody a take on yacht rock that sails deep into the 2020s and introduce the world to a bold new character: a powerful woman whose passion, presence, conviction, humor and grace serves to unite the world in music, joy and love, once again.

Los Angeles-based rising alt-pop duo Bahari—aka Natalia Panzarella and Ruby Carr—share a new single entitled “Destructive” today. It can be streamed at all DSPs HERE via Epic Records.

Iconic hitmaker Desmond Child penned the new track with Rock Mafia, which feature luminous keys fused to a glitchy beat as the vocal volley between Natalia and Ruby instantly transfixes. Turning heads, the chorus culminates on a confession, “I’m destructive cuz the fighting and the fucking’s so seductive.” Through and through, the song explores self-destructive tendencies with candid honesty and clear heart.

About “Destructive,” the duo comments: “We were always so drawn to this song and kept finding ourselves going back to it. ‘Destructive’ is raw and honest, about how we have come to know ourselves better. Accepting that one’s self-sabotage and destructive behavior, whether conscious or subconscious, is something that is a part of us. Understanding how it affects relationships and how it’s something that almost everyone has dealt with at some point in their life.”

Tommy B is the charismatic emcee from Essex that holds the title as one of Complex’s coveted ‘Ones To Watch’ and is one of the most exciting prospects to come out of the UK right now. Having appeared on line-ups that include ‘Radio 1’s Big Weekend’ and collaborated with a string of famed artists, a new wave of music makes its debut with the contemplative single ‘I Don’t Mind’.

STREAM/DOWNLOAD TOMMY B – I DON’T MIND FT NATHAN SMOKER

Produced by Mr Garrett, a melancholy hue plays out with string led loop and stripped back bass that is accentuated with a dusting of slow tempo keys that tinker into the mix. The production creates the perfect foundation for Tommy B to lay down some vulnerable thoughts as his introspective lyricism picks apart the demise of a relationship. The emcee lyrically unravels the feelings of loss, frustration, regret and acceptance in a spectacular display of lyricism and skill as his wordplay takes charge alongside his use of perfectly painted metaphors and rhymes.

Collaborating with Nathan Smoker, who delivers an outstanding, soulful hook, ‘I Don’t Mind’ builds into a collection of emotionally fuelled moments that make this record a standout track for Tommy B. Having made a huge impact on the thundering grime scene as a teen, his growth in to a skilled and experienced emcee has never been as evident as it is on this latest offering. Whilst a departure from the faster paced beats and scattergun delivery that we’ve seen him play out over his blossoming career, he sits equally at ease offering the vulnerability and emotional connection, which he conveys so eloquently on ‘I Don’t Mind’. In his own words, he goes on to explain, “‘I Don’t Mind’ is a track I wrote when I was going through a break-up, it’s totally raw and vulnerable. Nathan Smoker’s vocals on the hook & Joe Garrett’s production brought the song to life & I believe this is probably the best song I have written”

Born and raised on the remote island of Kaua’i, singer- songwriter Sierra Blax left the ocean breezes and sounds of palm trees for a life in the grittiness of Los Angeles. “Although life in Hawai’i was truly paradise, I knew I needed a change in scenery to grow as an artist and really tap into my second nature, which is music,” Blax confides. When you listen to Sierra’s music, you can hear just that, the blend of two spirits. It’s obvious that when she writes she escapes, and for us, the rawness is brutal & honest in the most stylish way.

Before her move to Los Angeles, Sierra Blax started her professional music journey at the University of Hawaii studying vocal performance and music theory. She also was a vocalist for the jazz band and from there, she grew her love for jazz singers such as Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holliday, Frank Sinatra, and today’s version of jazz, Amy Winehouse. Performing with the jazz band allowed her to have more artistic freedom with her vocals that she couldn’t really tap into when studying classical/ operatic music.

Even during and after graduating music school, it became a habit for her to stay up late in her room and write her own songs. She wrote “ Woke up in a Mansion” during this time and started performing her original music during gigs all over Oahu.

In 2014, Blax left the glassy Hawaiian surf and jumped on a one way ticket to Los Angeles. Since, she’s released a single every year clocking in over 70,000 streams on Spotify and has performed all over Los Angeles at venues such as, The Hotel Cafe, The Mint, Peppermint Club, Four Seasons Beverly Hills.

For Sierra, this is still only the beginning with the release of her debut album, brb… I’m daydreaming. This album is a combination of songs she wrote while in Hawaii and in Los Angeles, then reimagined and fine tuned in Syracuse, New York at More Sounds Studio where she worked with producers Tim Rose, Andrew Greecen & Max McKee to bring these songs to life. The album will take you on a rollercoaster right from the beginning. You will hear the evolution of Sierra Blax as an artist all throughout this album and it’s a beautiful journey – a blend of neo-soul, pop and r&b, grabbing inspiration from artist like Snoh Aalegra, Amy Winehouse, Aaliyah, Ariana, all while staying in her own lane.

Ella Grace returns with majestic new cut ‘Grace’

Listen HERE

Taking shape as a moving folk rock anthem, ‘Grace’ is a captivating next move from the hotly tipped artist.

Recorded at the legendary Rockfield Studios, produced and mixed by Brit Award-winning legend Ethan Johns (Paul McCartney, Laura Marling, Michael Kiwanuka), Ella Grace’s new single is an enchanting showcase of her rich, soothing vocal talent and powerful songwriting. The track was aptly recorded on the legendary Studer A820 tape machine that spun the likes of Simple Minds, Annie Lennox, Paul Weller, Kasabian and Queen.

‘Grace’ embodies heartache and the torturous longing for someone you can’t have, sharing more Ella Grace explained: ‘Grace is a song about rejection, about wanting to be with someone who is too scared to move towards you – it’s like a love letter that’ll never be read’

Todays release is Ella Grace’s first single since the release of her debut album ‘Reverence’ (Gay Times, Notion, Clash, Wonderland) which was unvieled last year. The stunning 11 track body of work explored themes of queerness and self-acceptance, which connected with many and has racked up over 6 million streams in it’s short lifetime.

Amelia Wray fell in love with performing at the early age of six. As an actor she is best known for her role as Sophia on the Disney series “SYDNEY TO THE MAX”, currently airing on The Disney Channel. She is also one of the leads in the upcoming movie “ENTANGLEMENT” which is a unique collection of short films and is scheduled to be released later in 2022. She has just been nominated by the New York Independent Cinema Awards as best youth actress 2022. Amelia is now ready to take the exciting step into the world of music.

Amelia released her debut single, “Moved On” in November of 2021. “Moved On” is a song about teenage heartbreak and reminds those going through it that they are not alone. Currently, Amelia is writing and recording for her upcoming yet untitled EP. She just shared her heartfelt new soul drenched pop ballad “disappear” which chronicles unrequited love and disappointment.

Not one to be pigeonholed, Amelia’s goal is to experiment musically and lyrically with the hope of connecting with a broader audience.

Verra Cruz form the British alt-rock infused musical project of trio Marc James (guitar/lap steel/vocals), Henry Cross (bass) & Jimmy Cooke (drums). Known for their hard-hitting anthems and signature lap steel guitar, of which they stumbled upon in a small boutique guitar shop in Memphis, TN, the three-piece band have been creating mighty, raucous tracks, laced with spiritual and personal themes. The band admits, “We’re not afraid to sing out about injustice in the world.”

Following an incredible repertoire to date, the trio are back with their next single “The World Is Crashing In”, a gripping ode to love, loss and simply raw emotion. Marc explains, “The World Is Crashing In” was written during the painful season of Henry’s divorce. It was tough going for all of us to watch 2 people we loved dearly, separate. For me it brought up painful memories from my own childhood. The second verse was written from a time in my own childhood. Our family home had been flooded due to a burst pipe, it wrecked so much stuff including my mum’s wedding dress that she had kept. It seemed like a dark and apt metaphor for the impending carnage of what was to come.”

Recorded in Germany with producer and engineer Udo Rinklin, their compelling chronicles pair sublimely with sonic abilities to produce a tune that mirrors their subject matter sublimely. They continue, “We re-recorded the drums at The Old Chapel Studios down the road from Jimmy. Bob & Jen at CatBeach hired Bryan Cook to mix and we loved his mix instantly!”

Taking influence from rock and roll greats such as Jimi Hendrix, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, and Rage Against The Machine, their dark chord voicing and anthemic energy come to life in a way that provokes emotion, energy and purely authentic melancholy. As they inspire listeners to be honest and walk through tough situations together, they confide, “It’s ok to not be ok, you can always start again.”

Hip-hop/R&B artist Trip Carter is thrilled to release his new album Slim Tripper II.

Born & raised in Los Angeles, CA, Trip Carter is no stranger to the music scene. Having started getting into music at the age of 10, Trip picked up the bass and his talents were quickly apparent. He soon earned a jazz scholarship to University of Southern California and thanks to their all encompassing music program, was able to work on his pop, R&B, indie, & hip hop songwriting. Upon graduation in 2016, the Trip Carter moniker was born. Through hustling bass gigs left and right to avoid a day job, he was introduced to Sabrina Claudio and Felly. Flying back and forth between the 6LACK tour with Sabrina, and Felly’s tour, there was no shortage of real stage experience with Trip also taking most of the opening slots. With COVID19 hindering the touring process, Trip was able to really take the time to build his own sound and increase his release schedule.

Indie singer-songwriter Stephanie Hatzinikolis is thrilled to release her new album Mockingbird Days.

Stephanie says, “Mockingbird Days represents the past decade of my life spent in Los Angeles, and in this time, I’ve become obsessed with becoming a better version of myself every day. This journey of personal growth has been isolating, humbling, and at times, the most dark and challenging chapter so far. Through the sadness, there are somehow always rays of light to be found.”

Stephanie Hatzinikolis is a Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter with a passion for creating lush, dreamy, indie-pop vibes while tipping her hat to alt-folk, alternative, and indie-rock. Inspired by the likes of Elliott Smith, Sufjan Stevens, and The Beatles, her piano-first, melody-heavy style has been praised as “songwriting that breaks our collective hearts.” Her newest EP, Mockingbird Days was produced by Killah Cortez (The Kooks, JJ Wilde, Cheekface) and recorded at New Monkey Studio, Elliott Smith’s former studio, in Van Nuys, CA. The album features artistic and musical contributions from Nico Barouhas and Alex “Gonzo” Gonzalez, with mastering by Joe Bozzi.

Brooklyn-based songstress, Enisa, has shared her latest single Just A Kiss (Muah). The single is also written by Enisa and co-written with Marc Sibley and Nathan Cunningham of the production duo, Space Primates (Alesso & Katy Perry “When I’m Gone”). “Just A Kiss (Muah)” is accompanied by a lively, cheerful official visual and is an interpolation of the Turkish song Kiss Kiss by Tarkan. The single is the follow-up to the recently released “Zoom” now with over 2.1M views on YouTube alone.

With over 41M worldwide streams and more than 198M total video viewsEnisa has proven a truly global favorite, earning chart-topping success in Nigeria, Gambia, Portugal, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Sri Lanka, and India, to name a few. “Get That Money” marked the latest in a continuing series of increasingly popular releases from the First Lady of Highbridge The Label, following “Tears Hit The Ground” (2.7M views), “Love Cycle” (16M views), “Dumb Boy” (15M views), and the smash hit, “Count My Blessings” (53M views). Earlier this year, Enisa made her TV debut with her performance of her song “Green Light” on NBC’s American Song Contest.

“I grew up loving music from all around the world and this one track by Tarkan had a chorus melody that always randomly played through my head growing up, so I knew one day I wanted to put it in a song but make a whole new version with a different concept! I went to the studio with that song in mind and created “Just a Kiss (Muah)”. I’d love for the new generation to listen to my song and feel the same way I did with the Tarkan one. “Just a Kiss (Muah)” is about the fun of being a tease when it comes to dating & knowing you have the power to say yes or no! I wanted to make a really catchy, fun, lighthearted song that people can dance to, that also has the element of nostalgia!”

independent multi-faceted creator, artist, model, and visionary QUIÑ unveils a new single and music video entitled “SCORPIA” [feat. 6LACK]. Anie Delgado is a Cuban-American artist and songwriter. Born in Miami, Florida, she grew up in Melbourne, FL and now resides in Los Angeles. Enjoying a colorful childhood with a dichotomy of culture and music, Delgado grew up immersed in her Cuban-heritage by way of dominos, late-night dancing, and blaring traditional Cuban music in the Florida Keys. Upon receiving her first guitar in 4th grade, she spent her adolescence writing songs and later moved to NYC to study at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy.

As an exceptional multidisciplinary artist inspired by the diversity of New York’s music scene, Delgado joined an experimental rock band and gigged with them until she decided to leave the band to pursue a solo career. Having moved to Los Angeles in 2018, she has since exploded into her very own realm of alternative pop. Upon the success of her first single “Galaxy”, Delgado has continued to evolve exponentially as an artist and is now back with her highly anticipated EP You Ruined Forever.

Produced alongside industry newcomers George Gleeson, Gary Dillon, Caziel and Harry Egan, this six-track offering takes a more confrontational direction to its predecessors. You Ruined Forever is a self-confessed breakup album about healing, despite lacking closure. Delgado confides, “The EP is called You Ruined Forever because when I broke up with this person, they shifted the narrative and made me the villain even though I left the relationship because it wasn’t healthy, due to infidelity and personal growth that was needed on his part.” As Delgado takes back her narrative with the determination she displays so brightly, her next release explores breaking up with someone before you’ve fallen out of love, because it’s ultimately the right thing for you.

She continues, “Although the EP has a lot of tones of resentment and nostalgia and clinging to the past, the journey of the EP is that these relationships are what make us. I felt the need to release this project because this relationship shaped my 20s and who I am as a person.” Inspired by the likes of Taylor Swift, Joni Mitchell, and Phoebe Bridgers, she found nostalgia in the streets of NYC. Taking perspectives and personality and pouring them deeply into her EP, Delgado’s echoic vocal energy rises above warming melodies and tender rhythms that exemplify her sublime musicality. Delgado’s worldly wisdom shapes her chronicles in a truly unparalleled way, as she brings the authenticity of her inner journey to the ears of many.

Her single “Dancing While the World is on Fire” was featured in Billboard and celebrated for raising awareness and funds for a youth climate change activism group called Zero Hour. She also donated all of her NYC performance revenue to the Brooklyn Pride Center and performed for the Sunrise Movement to raise money for climate change activism. With streaming numbers hitting the hundreds of thousands, Anie Delgado proves that there really are no limits to her capability.
