Reese Witherspoon Set To Return In The ‘Election’ Sequel ‘Tracy Flick Can’t Win’ For Paramount+

More than two decades since the theatrical release of the hit comedy film ‘Election’, Reese Witherspoon has signed on to return as her character Tracy Flick in the upcoming sequel called ‘Tracy Flick Can’t Win’. This will debut on Paramount+.

This is be based on a sequel novel written by Tom Perrotta, of the same name. It will once again be directed by Election’ filmmaker Alexander Payne from a screenplay written by Jim Taylor.

Variety revealed the synopsis of the film writing; “The Election sequel picks up with Tracy in adulthood as she continues to struggle to fight her way to the top at work. She’s the assistant principal at a public high school in suburban New Jersey, but she sets her sights on the top job as her boss announces plans to retire.”
