Taylor Swift right now is unstoppable. Following the huge success of her brand new studio album ‘Midnights’, Taylor Swift will soon be making her feature directorial debut, and has officially signed on with Searchlight Pictures. The project will feature an original screenplay written by Swift.

Presidents of Searchlight Pictures broke the news saying; “Taylor is a once in a generation artist and storyteller. It is a genuine joy and privilege to collaborate with her as she embarks on this exciting and new creative journey,” said Searchlight presidents David Greenbaum and Matthew Greenfield.

Taylor is no stranger to this work though and has always made known she has a passion for story telling. She directed her own music videos “You Need to Calm Down,” “Lover,” and “The Man,” and then went on to write and direct her own short film ‘All Too Well: The Short Film’, which recently won her the Best Direction award at the 2022 Video Music Awards.
