Margaret Qualley Set to Play Amanda Knox In Upcoming Hulu Drama

The Hollywood Reporter states that Margaret Qualley is set to play Amanda Knox in an upcoming Hulu limited series. The series is yet to be titled but we can tell you it’s created by KJ Steinberg, who will also serve as showrunner.

The limited series is “based on the true story of how Knox was wrongfully convicted for the murder of her roommate Meredith Kercher and her 16-year odyssey to set herself free.”

For those not familiar with the case, Knox spent almost four years incarcerated in Italy following her wrongful conviction for the 2007 murder of Meredith Kercher, a fellow exchange student with whom she shared an apartment in Perugia. In 2015, Knox was definitively acquitted by the Italian Supreme Court of Cassation.
