Universal Pictures Announces Movie Adaptation Of Popular Video Game ‘Just Cause’

Ángel Manuel Soto is set to direct the upcoming feature film adaptation of Just Cause. The Hollywood Reporter reports that Soto has been tapped to helm Universal Pictures’ live-action Just Cause movie, based on the action-adventure video game series. The latest project is being produced by The Fall Guy team David Leitch and Kelly McCormick, as part of their deal with Universal Pictures.

The Just Cause game is a third-person action shooter, which was centered around secret agent Rico Rodriguez, who, in each installment, travels to a country which is controlled by a dictatorship. In each of his missions he’s tasked with bringing down the nation’s dictatorship.
