This new release from the London-based dream-pop project is a great example of the expansive boundaries of the shoegaze/dream pop genres – and how they can be pushed. Layered up with harmonised dreamy guitars, swirling synths, a locked in rhythm section, and honeyed vocals with an incredibly catchy chorus and country-esque harmonies, this track is truly one of a kind. The band’s unique fusion of shoegaze and dream-pop, sprinkled with indie and electronic elements, offers a refreshing take on the shoegaze revival.
‘heroine’ was co-produced by Dominic Freeman and Ben Easton (deary), mixed by Ben Easton, and mastered by shoegaze veteran Simon Scott (Slowdive).
sadplanet’s debut single, “four days,” released on April 30, has already garnered significant attention. New to the indie-folk scene, but already mesmerizingly timeless, Los Angeles’ Asia Chow today releases her third single “The Sleeping Dog.” Viewed through the lens of her dog Aba’s unwavering contentment, Chow learns how to be more present in the moment. Guided by a slide guitar and her ember-like, full-bodied vibrato, “The Sleeping Dog” feels like a bar song known only by the locals, meant to be queued up between Linda Ronstadt and Neil Young — Stream.
“My toxic personality trait is that I must acknowledge every dog that I come across. It’s almost concerning how much I love dogs, shares Chow. “Anyways, I was looking at my dog one day; she looked extra cute and peaceful. I thought about how grateful I was to know her and love her and how she teaches me to be more present and live in the moment. I wrote the song while I was thinking about all that. It had been a goal of mine to write more songs that were not sad girl vibes and it makes a lot of sense that one of them would be inspired by my iconic dog. Love her!”
Pooling together the efforts of her friends and family, today’s official video is a compilation of clips of man’s best friend going about life. It only seems natural that Chow would combine her two greatest passions, music and dogs, as an exercise in grounding herself
Asia Chow stepped triumphantly out into the indie-folk scene with her debut single “Days Unchanged” at the end of 2023. Her first delicate and confessional offering won the praise of Vogue China and Flaunt, as well as editorial support on Spotify’s Fresh Folk and Today’s Singer-Songwriters, as well as Apple Music’s Breaking Singer-Songwriter and Acoustic Memories. She followed up her first release with a forlorn folk rework of The Weeknd’s “Save Your Tears.” Relying on her own tenacity and creative community that surrounds her, Chow’s first releases have created ripples much larger than she could have initially imagined.
Preceded by her successful modeling career, Chow always felt the pull to create music. First picking up the guitar in high school, she typically kept her music making isolated to the confines of her bedroom. Like many of us, the global pandemic made her rethink a lot of things and come to the conclusion that she didn’t want to live a life without ever taking a serious swing at a music career. Fearing that her shyness made her seem closed off, music has always felt like her most direct form of communication.

The underlying idea is that
there is unity in difference – this is represented by these musical moving parts that
coincide together which reflects city life, and the process of finding your flow within it.”
Brother Valiant is an alternative folk-pop project spearheaded by singer-songwriter AJ Amsterdam. Inspired by folk legends new and old, from Paul Simon to Connor Oberst, Brother Valiant is a noble attempt to capture the magic that made these artists so iconic. After only a few shows, Brother Valiant released the singles “Little House” and “Devil” in 2015, along with a full-length LP “Thus, He Was” in the summer of 2016. His 2021 single “Lady Daisy” received widespread critical acclaim with Atwood Magazinecalling the song “a gripping folk sound that enchants listeners”.
Much of Brother Valiant’s sound brings together mental snapshots of living life between a big city and the sprawling suburbs; Riding through coastal beach towns that pave way into bustling city streets. The viscerally emotive, and oftentimes satirical lyricism, bite through a soundscape of anthemic choruses, jangly guitars and rambunctious horns. Themes of navigating feelings of anxiety, love, and fear through an adventurous spirit remain a hallmark of the songwriting, which bleed through with an authentic wit. Brother Valiant has played extensively throughout the East Coast, at such notable venues as The Iridium, Rockwood Music Hall, The Knitting Factory, City Winery, and The South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC).
Better Luck Next Time, the upcoming EP, is poised for release later this August. Single “C’est La Vie” is an intoxicating dreamy indie folk track chronicling trying to make big changes for someone you care about. “The premise of the song is accepting that deep down, to an extent, we are always going to have certain qualities and quirks that we cannot change about ourselves,” confides Brother Valiant. Then there is the evocative and emotional track “A Dream So Clear”, which explores the loss of a loved one through the eyes of a life partner. After the passing of the artist’s father, his mother recalls a dream she had of a visit from her late husband. Driven by a stunningly emotive and raw vocal performance, and accompanied by a beautifully picked guitar motif, this song captures the story of eternal love, even after death, and how we wish some dreams could last forever.
With soul-stirring melodies, wistful acoustic guitars and a knack for storytelling, Brother Valiant is an important artist on the rise.

Claire London releases her latest EP, Stardust, featuring an inspiring collection of music that captivates all things pop, rock, soul, and blues. London explores a versatile new phase in her journey by experimenting with multiple genres of music. Stardust, one of her most personal releases yet, is now available to stream and download on all major platforms globally.
Stardust combines themes of empowerment, reflection, and rejuvenation, drawing inspiration from her transformation when entering motherhood. After welcoming her daughter into the world in 2020, Claire London experienced a profound shift in her artistic vision, feeling compelled to strip away the electronic elements that had defined much of her earlier music. Stardust sees London embracing a whole new style, drawing inspiration from the blues, rock, and soulful sounds that have always resonated deeply with her. London explains, “For the past few years, and especially after I became a mother, I was feeling a strong desire to simplify and return to something that felt more raw and authentic. With this EP, it feels like I’m making a return to my roots, going back to the kind of music that feels like home.” London feels nostalgic about Stardust as she reminisces about the little 5-year-old girl who fell in love with the sounds of blues and soul music. In the high-energy lead single and title track, “Stardust,” she explores the juxtaposition of ambition with the fragile nature of life, featuring all live instruments and her iconic voice. “Black Leather” sets a compelling tone by introducing sultry vocals with electrifying guitar and drums. The track emphasizes the feeling of love when meeting her husband, as he has inspired her to be the best version of herself. “Same Old Story,” which was co-written with her brother, Oscar-winning editor Andrew Buckland, and “Pull of Time,” showcase her rich vocals and powerful songwriting ability. The talented Grammy-award-winning Mitch Dane produced Stardust and assisted in the mastery of this groundbreaking EP.
Growing up in a small village in Lower Austria, OSKA moved to Vienna at 18 to study her first love: music. She started busking in streets and squares of the capital while also studying pop and jazz singing. Her debut album, My World, My Love, Paris, saw OSKA weaving together tales of her family life and the experience of being a young person growing up in the world. With candor and charm, her authentic self comes through in honest lyricism and tender melodies.
Now entering a new chapter, OSKA continues to mesmerize listeners with her latest release, “Forever Blue”. Inspired by a car ride she took with a childhood friend where they played their favorite songs for hours one day before New Year‘s Eve, she shares, “It felt like being children again; playing, goofing around, snoozing off in the car; not a worry in the world. This song is about reflecting on tough situations and realizations, like childhood ending. It’s also about friendship and the beauty of having people in your life who can make you feel at peace by something as simple as listening to music together.”
“Forever Blue” exudes a warmth and glow through jangly guitars, celestial harmonies and upbeat percussion that you can’t help but move to. Setting the scene of a summer road trip, OSKA exudes a renewed sense of excitement as she reminds us to find solace in the little things in life that bring us joy. Encouraging a smile from her listener, she chants, “You get the car, I’ll get the fuel, turn the keys, we’ll be home soon, I’ll play the song, you’ve got the moves.”
OSKA has seen some incredible success over the years. Having signed to Nettwerk in 2020, her music continues to rack up millions of streams, winning her multiple awards including the XA Music Export Award at Waves Vienna Festival 2020 and the Amadeus Austrian Music Award for “Best Sound” in 2022. Additionally, she was honored as the winner of the “MUSIC MOVES EUROPE AWARDS AT ESNS 2023.”
She has received praise from the likes of Under The Radar, COLLiDE, Atwood Magazine, Indie Shuffle, Clout and more. She spent much of 2022 and 2023 on the road, making her Great Escape debut, and supporting Stu Larsen, Haevn, SYML, and most recently, Tom Odell.
OSKA’s remarkable talent and captivating performances have led to numerous high-profile opportunities, including a memorable performance at SXSW in 2024 and an upcoming duet with BANNERS on the popular German TV morning show (ZDF). Furthermore, she is set to support Coldplay alongside Maggie Rogers in August 2024, solidifying her status as a rising star on the international stage.
London based singer/songwriter Fox Jackson has been enamored by music from as young as he can remember. Inspired by the likes of artists such as Earth Wind and Fire, Kool and the Gang and George Benson, his music blends funk-fuelled melodies, sexy vocals and dance-worthy beats, creating a vibrant and distinct sound which is undeniably his own.
His career in the entertainment industry began at just 11 years old, when he landed the lead role as Billy Elliot, in the hit West End musical, “Billy Elliot the Musical”. His time there solidified his desire to be on stage, while also pushing him to dive deeper into the world of music. Following multiple roles on both stage and TV, Fox soon made an easy transition to his first love and true calling, music. Discovering his own sound and style, Fox has since been crafting music.
“A Sex Demo” is the title-track and first single to be released from the upcoming EP which focuses on relationships… Being in relationships, being around relationships and talking about relationships. While the theme stays consistent, the EP will showcase different flavours, genres and feelings, resulting in something for everyone. Jackson shares, “It’s safe to say that my music is inspired by what I go through in terms of my relationships. I think to love and be with someone is the greatest thing in the world. We all wanna feel those feelings of being treasured and looked after. It also connects with that deep rooted sense of self, because you only really know who you are through the eyes of someone else.”
“A Sex Demo” is about spending a night together with someone you love. The songwriter confesses, “The day I wrote it I was thinking of the person I was with and how they made me feel so special.” Staying true to Jackson’s signature sound of funk, soul and pop with a touch of R&B, “A Sex Demo” is the perfect soundtrack for declaring your love to someone. Featuring a sexy groove, overly romantic lyrics and a Prince-esque vibe, the track switches between tempos, reflecting how sometimes you like to chill it out and be a bit more tender with one another and sometimes… you have to turn up the heat. As he continues to inspire romance, love and communication through his music, Fox Jackson is certain to be London’s very own cupid, with A Sex Demo due 2024.
New York City’s Monobloc are excited to share their second single, “Where Is My Garden.” Today’s anthemic track documents the internal back-and-forth between materialistic tendencies and finding satisfaction with what you have, a dilemma artists and musicians tend to know best. Paired with a monochrome video self-directed by the band, replete with wiry, insistent guitar work and a rousing chorus, the song marks the arrival of a new band with a significant future.
Discussing the themes of the track, lead vocalist Timothy Waldron says, “Attached to the main riff of the song was this chorus I really wanted to use but could never find a place where it made sense. “Where is my garden, where are my friends? Will it always feel like the end?” It was a great wide theme – a bit Springsteen and better yet, the closest I could legally get to saying “Where are your friends tonight?”

Canadian pop singer and songwriter JESSIA announces her new EP, Okay With Every Part, out July 19th, and shares her new single, “Different People.”
It’s been a milestone year for JESSIA who bravely transitioned to releasing music independently after parting ways with her label. Taking her future into her own hands, she presents her first independent project, Okay With Every Part. The 6-track EP includes hit songs like”The Woman You Are,” “Care About Me,” and “He’s a 10,” as well as three brand new tracks.
JESSIA opens up about her first independent project: “Losing a label and a relationship within the span of 3 months shook me. I felt shame, rejection, anger, and frustration, but also freedom, adventure, passion, and resilience. As much as I didn’t want to, I had to learn to accept and move through these new obstacles. Each song on this project represents a pivotal moment in my journey to finding peace and confidence again. This EP represents me accepting the good and bad parts of life so that I can look back and say, I’m okay with every part.”
Casii Stephan is a MN born, indie-pop meets soul-rock singer-songwriter now based in Tulsa, OK. Casii’s “gorgeously emotive voice inspires comparisons to alt-pop artists like Florence Welch and Fiona Apple with a writing style reminiscent of Carole King” proclaims (NPR).
Stephan’s voice is fierce and fearless, but this was not always the case. She grew up shy and afraid of her voice until she started writing songs on the family piano when she was 16. Casii moved to Tulsa in 2014 with the intent to give up her pursuit of a music career, however with a little encouragement from a friend, she continued songwriting and started releasing music in 2016. Since then, she has received national songwriting awards, toured regionally, performed official SXSW and Folk Alliance showcases, performed at the virtual Sundance Film Festival, and has been profiled on platforms such as Billboard, NPR, and American Songwriter.
Casii writes her songs honestly, from the depths of her emotions, with lyrics that pushback on negative societal norms like sexism, ageism and “playing nice” as a woman. She uses writing to deconstruct her own beliefs with an underlying hope that things can change, inviting listeners on their own journey. In October, Casii signed with TRO Essex music publishing, joining the talented folk writers such as Woody Guthrie and Pete Seger, and iconic rock bands like The Who, Black Sabbath, and Pink Floyd.
The songwriter recently traveled to Muscle Shoals, AL to record with producer Ben Tanner (Alabama Shakes, St. Paul and the Broken Bones). The concept EP to be titled, Relationship Status takes the listener on the emotional journey of going from one relationship status to another and finally landing on the realization that these statuses do not define you. Single “Average Man” is the highlight of the EP. She confides, “The song is inspired by Shania Twain’s documentary where her ex-husband cheated on her while she was going through lyme disease, an Oncology Nurse told me it’s so common for some men to leave their partners when they get cancer that nurses will counsel women about it. When I heard this I knew I needed to write out my anger. These men seem to think they have the right to “better” partners when women lose their “resources” and I just wanted to cut their ego with a song. A woman’s value is more than her health; if you can’t see that, please stay single.” Relationship Status EP is set for release later this summer.

d4vd has been on a roll in 2024. His summer headline “My House is Not a Home” Tour currently finds him in Europe after a sold-out North American Leg, which saw performances in Toronto, New York, Washington D.C., and Los Angeles (with a third show added and sold-out from high demand), to wrap later this summer with a highly anticipated set at Lollapalooza in August. Rising pop star Lillian Hepler reveals her new single, “Famous.” Following her recent hit singles, “Call Me Yours,” “IDK Her,” and “House of Lies,” “Famous” cements Lillian Hepler’s status as one of pop music’s most promising newcomers.
“Famous” is a stunning showcase of Lillian’s expansive, soul-stirring vocals. Accompanied by captivating and carefully crafted production, the new single is an explosive yet tender anthem about rising from the ashes of heartbreak.
“This song was born out of frustration as to how a lot of relationships tend to go these days,” she says. “You meet someone, plan a future together, and then all hell breaks loose, they betray you, and you’re left watching this person move on without you. It feels like you’re always the bad guy and that they never have to face the consequences for the things they’ve said and done. But, the best revenge is actually just moving on and never having their name come out of your mouth again. People can only take credit if you give it to them, and I don’t like giving people who have hurt me the satisfaction of that. Instead, I just pretend they never existed.”
Blue haired songstress Kings Elliot is back, with her quiet yet powerful new single “Enough”. Any other time was spent doing another form self reflection, writing and recording in the studio with her frequent collaborator, producer and songwriter Halfrhymes.

Of her first song back from her break, which saw her shut down a brief but illustrious touring career that had seen her supporting Imagine Dragons in stadiums across the United States and Europe, rising troubadour Stephen Sanchez across North America, and her hero Lana Del Rey at her historic Hyde Park gig, Kings says:
“I wrote “Enough” as a way to navigate the overwhelming heartache I experienced during a devastating breakup. The song emerged from a place of deep pain, as I wrestled with the persistent belief that I wasn’t enough—a sentiment that has haunted me for much of my life. Creating “Enough” became a cathartic journey, allowing me to confront and challenge this recurring notion. I’d been playing it live for some time but never planned to release it. I rarely write lyrics as raw and direct as these, making the song feel almost too vulnerable. It somehow became a favourite among my listeners who kept asking for it, which gave me the courage to finally put it out there.”

I wrote each of these songs at very different times but to me they all felt like holding the stars until they burn right through your hands.”
The new EP, which marks her first music release since her debut album, showcases quinnie’s growth and evolution as an artist. Each track, written at different times and holding their own individual memories, carry a unique story yet shares a common thread: the transformation of once good experiences into something now sour. The songs are soft and delicate, yet powerful in their sentiment and authenticity, reflecting the artist’s ability to translate her emotions into music.
