Hi Luca welcome to OLC! You’ve gained a massive following on TikTok and Musical.ly with your entertaining lip-sync videos. How did you first get into creating content, and did you ever expect to reach over 7 million followers?

I was in grade 7 and I had my first iPhone (I think it was a used one from my dad). Somehow at school I became aware of  Musical.ly and I really connected with what I was seeing others do, and I also started to watch a lot of YouTube creators. It all looked like fun, so I hopped onto Musical.ly right away. Of course at that time I never imagined I’d grow to where I am now. Right from those first days of posting content I started to dream of being a true ‘creator’.

Your tattoos have become a part of your iconic look. Can you tell us the stories behind some of them and what they mean to you?

In some way or another there is a story behind each tattoo, but some definitely have more of a significance or personal attachment than others. For example, two of my tattoos are in memory of family members – a dove for my Nana and Betti Boop for my Omi. Then I have two Pokemon tattoos that mean a lot simply because I’m passionate about anything related to Pokemon. Gengar is simply a true classic, and my mom and I got matching Butterfree tattoos.

At just 19 years old, you’ve already achieved so much. How do you handle the pressures and challenges of being a social media influencer at such a young age?

I try not to take on too much pressure otherwise it could overwhelm me. I stay true to who I am, and I remain authentic… my supporters know that I am not putting on an act. This allows me to avoid the pressure to be a certain way or to do things a certain way. I just hope that my attitude and genuine personality inspire others.

What has been one of the most memorable experiences or fan interactions you’ve had since rising to fame?

A most memorable experience was back in 2019 when I spent most of the summer on tour in the US. This was the ‘Boys of Summer’ tour – and it was amazing. Prior to this I’d only attended meet-n-greet events here and there. But suddenly I was spending weeks criss-crossing the US on a tour bus. It was all go go go… every day in a different city. Tiring for sure, but also rewarding as I was suddenly meeting so many supporters face-to-face. Nothing compares to that summer when it comes to fan interaction.

How do you come up with ideas for your content, and what inspires you to keep your videos fresh and engaging?

Coming up with fresh content can be a challenge for sure. Today there are so many creators out there all trying to deliver relatable content. Sometimes I will scroll for ideas or some type of inspiration, but I’ve always placed great emphasis on ensuring that as much of my content as possible is spontaneous. I try to stay relatable with my content, and I post my true feelings.

With such a large and diverse following, how do you stay connected with your fans and maintain that close relationship with your audience?

I deliver content that shows my true self, and I engage with my supporters in any way possible. I also reply to comments and questions and livestream as much as my daily schedule will allow.

Can you share any details about your current projects or upcoming collaborations that you’re excited about?

Right now I’m in LA, and my days seem quite busy with press events and interviews, but no big projects at this very moment. My path seems to change all the time, as I’m always open to new opportunities and go with the flow. I’d really love to land a role on a reality show… so I’m working on that.

What advice would you give to aspiring influencers who want to build a career on social media platforms like TikTok?

Stay true to yourself. Stay authentic. Post consistently. Really place great emphasis on trying to post content that you enjoy making. Do your best not to pay attention to the numbers because your numbers will always fluctuate up and down. Just stay committed and keep posting. Engage and interact with your supporters and followers as much as possible… as your loyal supporters will always be by your side if you stay true to yourself or your brand.
