“Kiss me when the bassline drops in my heart…” sings Sophie Scott as she opens a song destined to soundtrack many blissful dance floor clinches as she anticipates what follows after the DJ spins the last tune and clubbers head out into the night… together.
“Red Light is about letting go of all your inhibitions in a moment of ecstasy,” explains Sophie Scott. “The track is set in the perfect place at the perfect time, with an indestructible sense of self. It’s about living in a moment without consequence. Being playful and fearless in the light and in the dark.” Driven by insistent, body-moving beats and gliding, chic synths, Sophie’s yearning vocals conjure up a red light-bathed, after-hours, intimacy where the dance never stops.
Since her beginnings in 2018 Sophie and the Giants evolved into one of club culture’s freshest and most exciting voices. She enjoyed a series of international solo hits like last year’s Shut Up And Dance and 2023’s Paradise, both of which have become dancefloor fixtures as Sophie’s music has amassed over 1.2 billion streams and 657K radio spins in 2024.
Much sought out as a collaborator, Sophie’s vocals have featured on tracks with the likes of Moby, R3HAB and Fast Boy in the last year alone, following on from the enduring success she has enjoyed working with Purple Disco Machine. With 2020’s single Hypnotized passing 700 million streams and 2022’s In The Dark reaching 300 million, both tracks topped global airplay charts on their way to becoming modern-day dance classics. Live, Sophie is much in demand by Europe’s biggest and most influential festivals and she has staged a series of acclaimed headline tours, making Sophie and the Giants’ 2025 dates among this year’s most anticipated shows.
Details of Sophie’s forthcoming debut mini album will also be announced in due course, but with Red Light illuminating the way Sophie promises it will be a “body of work representing wild escapism.”

Twin Shadow, the name under which Dominican-born American musician, director, producer, and actor George Lewis Jr. performs, was putting the finishing touches on the album when his father, George Sr., fell very ill and tragically passed away unexpectedly.
“Georgie is my most stripped-down album; at this point in my life and career, nothing matters more than my deepest, darkest, and brightest feelings. The album art features my father, George’s signature. I had him scrawl it hundreds of times in a notebook. When I was making this record, I had no idea he would pass away just a few months later. Georgie is dedicated to his memory.”
