Apple TV+ has released the first look photo for Chief of War, the upcoming war epic that stars Jason Momoa and follows the fight for the unification of Hawai’i. Momoa plays the warrior Kaʻiana, a real-life figure who is known for his battle efforts in the 1790s.
“Set amidst the beautiful backdrop of the islands of Hawai’i, the nine-episode series based on true events, follows warrior Ka’iana, portrayed by Momoa, as he tries to unify the islands before Western colonization in the late 18th century,” reads the show’s official synopsis.
