INsiders Guide: Arm’s Length, TDJ, Foxford, Myd, dying in designer, GRYFFIN…

Following the release of their powerful sophomore album ‘There’s A Whole World Out There’ out now via Pure Noise Records, Arm’s Length are excited to unveil the new music video for the song “Morning Person”. The video marks the final chapter in a haunting three-part visual narrative that began with previous music videos for “Funny Face” and “You Ominously End”.

The album’s visual narrative reaches its climax in the music video out today —a dark and cinematic portrayal of grief and memory. As director Alex Scalzo-Brown notes, “Allen’s words in ‘Morning Person’ read to me like grief filling up a room, with all the most beautiful parts of something once lost, crashing into you without mercy. I believe this feeling is mutual between the living and the dead.”

Montreal’s multi-hyphenate trance prodigy TDJ announces her official debut album, a self-actualizing, self-titled project set for release on June 27 on Collection Disque Durs / All Night Long. The announcement arrives alongside a new single, “Where Is My Angel,” a slow burn of hypermodern trance that imagines the genre clearly in the world of indie pop, but punctuated by jolts of tummy-tingling butterflies.

Grappling with the need to ground herself amid constant motion, the new track captures the disorienting mix of distance and lucidity that defines life on the road. “I needed to feel some kind of clarity out of this unpredictable life path I was embracing,” TDJ reflects on her rewarding yet taxing touring schedule. That tension is audible in the song’s crystalline production and aching topline — “I’m drifting through the night / Searching for a sign / Can’t hold on to shadows / Or the past left behind” — a bittersweet plea wrapped in high-gloss synths and sky-high emotion. TDJ wrote, produced, and performed the track herself, as she does with the entire forthcoming album.

Raised in South Manchester, brothers Michael and Liam reflect their diverse inspirations from Michael’s love for Oasis and The Beatles to Liam’s admiration for Bob Dylan and Otis Redding, thus forming Foxford.

Michael, a self-taught pianist, guitarist and lyricist, previously released his solo record “Home Again”, which garnered support from BBC Introducing, and even got featured at a few Manchester United halftime shows. Liam, a self taught multi-instrumentalist and singer has collaborated with singer/songwriter Jake Mattison, and toured with Emeli Sandé.

Between the brothers, their wealth of experience and creativity transcends throughout “Heaven Here”. The project blends heartfelt songwriting with rich musical influences, rooted in emotion and authenticity.

Heaven Here includes two original tracks. The title track is an uplifting anthem about finding beauty in everyday moments. The second,”The Only Face in the Crowd” is a poignant piano ballad about love and connection, featuring strings by acclaimed producer George Shilling (Blur, Ocean Colour Scene, Primal Scream, Frank Turner).

Also included is a soulful cover of Tennessee Whiskey, showcasing the duo’s dynamic chemistry, with Liam on vocals and Michael on organ.

This EP reflects our journey and what inspires us,” says the band. “We hope listeners feel something real and are reminded of the connections that matter.”

Heaven Here is an introduction to Foxford’s honest, emotionally driven sound, resonating with the listener and leaving a lasting impression.

DJ, producer, singer and artist Myd has announced his anticipated new album ‘Mydnight’ will be released 29th August via Ed Banger Records / Because Music. The announcement comes alongside a brand new single taken from the record, ‘So High’, which is out now and offers a sun-drenched glimpse into the sonic world of the forthcoming ‘Mydnight’ LP.

A kaleidoscopic journey through club euphoria, playful honesty and technicolour emotion, Myd’s new album ‘Mydnight’ is the boldest statement yet from a truly singular artist. Featuring Myd’s own vocals on every track and a handpicked global cast of collaborators including Channel Tres, Calcutta, Trueno, Carlita, Bethanie Home and more, ‘Mydnight’ marks the beginning of a new era for Myd: more club-focused, more personal, and more emotionally resonant than ever.

the alt-rock artist dying in designer unleashes a new era with the release of “Evil Eyes.” This raw, nu-metal-infused single signals a powerful shift in sound and story steeped in emotional turmoil, nostalgia, and heavy breakdowns.

Dance music maverick GRYFFIN is back with another stunning single ‘Hard Time Lover’ featuring singer-songwriter Chance Peña out now via 10K Projects.

Drawing on his indie roots, ‘Hard Time Lover’ channels the emotional resonance and melodic instrumentation that first catapulted GRYFFIN into the spotlight. Anchored by Peña’s wistful vocal delivery and fluttering guitar lines, the track explores the complexities of loving someone through their darkest moments. A wondrous blend of lyrical storytelling and danceable rhythms, ‘Hard Time Lover’ is a testament to GRYFFIN’s signature that moves both the heart and body.

“Chance is a beast. We got this stripped acoustic vocal from him last year and it has been the most challenging and rewarding process bringing it to life. His vocals bring back my indie roots and it’s been a while since I’ve had a song that reminds me of the ‘Gravity’ era while still sounding so new and fresh. This year is all about putting out music that feels right and working with artists I love.” – GRYFFIN
