Avant-garde pop provocateur Sophie Powers has joined forces with K-Pop breakout girl group ILLIT to reimagine their smash hit “jellyous,” originally featured on ILLIT’s mini-album bomb (June 2024). This vibrant new rendition fuses ILLIT’s kinetic energy and dance-floor hooks with Sophie’s candid, effortlessly cool vocals.

Since its debut, ILLIT’s “jellyous” has become a fan favorite with its irresistible chorus and heartbeat rhythm earning millions of streams and viral dance-challenge videos across TikTok and Instagram. Now, Sophie Powers amplifies the track with her signature blend of playful edge and emotional honesty, turning up the intensity with every verse.

Sophie and ILLIT’s creative kinship didn’t start here. Sophie first publicly showed her admiration by posting a fan dance challenge for ILLIT’s “Tick-Tack” and later joined their web series to cover “Magnetic.” In turn, ILLIT rallied behind Sophie’s recent single “move with me” with their own viral choreography. Their mutual support and shared love of genre-defying pop set the stage for this highly anticipated collaboration that will resonate with fans of both ILLIT and Sophie Powers.

“I’m so excited to share my collaboration with ILLIT,” says Sophie Powers. “I watched the show they came from on Netflix and have loved seeing their journey from the very beginning. The girls are so talented and inspiring, and it’s crazy to think I’m the same age as Yunah, Minju, and Moka. This song is so special to me, and I hope it reminds people to chase their dreams the way ILLIT has. I can’t wait to see what the GLIT’s and Powerpuffs think.”

Toronto indie rocker Brodie Christ – whose surname rhymes with wrist – finds himself in a nuanced position as a musician and artist: reckoning with the past, embracing complexity, and trying to be a better person, regardless of the state of the world.

The writing of Brodie’s latest songs arrived in light of a series of huge life changes for Brodie Christ: his father passed away, and his daughter was born. Christ developed some persistent health issues, which led to significant lifestyle changes, including giving up some vices, adding meditation and contrast therapy, and committing to an exercise regimen and daily Qigong. A prolific songwriter, Christ was capturing heartfelt song snippets all the while, and he noticed his approach was ripening with age:

“I used to think of the songs as an outlet, a means to share emotions I couldn’t express in my everyday life. But now, I need to really feel and communicate these everyday feelings as they come up, no matter how difficult. The songs can tackle bigger things.”

LA-born alt-R&B artist India Shawn has teamed up with Grammy® Award-winning artist Lucky Daye on the sweet and soulful ‘Cotton Candy Blvd’, out now. India Shawn says, “’Cotton Candy Blvd.’ is a summer night, a slow drive, and a long-awaited yes.  I’ve been waiting just as long as the fans for this dream collab, and it delivers.  There’s something magical about the way Lucky and I blended on the record.  The song is sweet, but it’s got depth – it’s the tension before the kiss, the invitation and the promise.  When I sing ‘I’m more than ready to love,’ I mean it.”

India has long been an artist’s artist; as well as penning hits for others and performing alongside Anderson.Paak & The Free Nationals and Ye’s Sunday Service, India has worked closely with Unknown Mortal Orchestra, 6LACK (who took her on tour last year, with shows in Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, Copenhagen, Stockholm & Oslo) Alex Isley, El Debarge, Keri Hilson, Monica & many more. Her critically acclaimed album Before We Go (Deeper) cemented her as a powerhouse in alternative R&B, earning praise from Billboard, NPR, UPROXX, and Noisey.

With just an acoustic guitar and his voice, IDO returns with his third single to date, ‘Caught Me Off Guard’, a tender, acoustic offering that lays bare the beauty of vulnerability. Stripped-down and soulful, the track is a quiet yet powerful exploration of love, loss, and the unexpected moments that stay with us.

‘Caught Me Off Guard’ is available now on your streaming service of choice via APOLLO Distribution.

rising indie-pop singer-songwriter and bedroom producer Silya shares her emotive yet glistening new single it’s summer (& I hate you). Bringing back her signature sugar-sweet vocal delivery à la Billie Eilish and PinkPantheress, and shimmery nostalgia, Silyla has brought her own take on the perfect summer song. Meant for blasting out your car windows in an ode to letting go and finding yourself again.

There’s a quiet sort of vulnerability throughout these things happen, the upcoming second album from Kalamazoo, MI emo trio saturdays at your place.

Out September 12, the band takes take everything that made their early material resonate—twinkly guitars, heart-on-sleeve songwriting, a distinctly Midwestern ache—and stretch it into something even more resonant.

Their new song, “what am I supposed to do?” (out August 7) is a mid tempo reflection on individuality and people-pleasing, combined with the emotional labor of keeping your head above water while on the road.

“I needed somewhere to rant about my feelings while on tour,” vocalist/drummer Gabe Wood shares. “But through finishing this song, I’ve learned a lot more about myself than anything else. I’m still figuring out who I am, but I’ve realized I have to respect my own emotions as much as I do everyone else’s.”

This song is a triumphant farewell to darkness and deceit, embracing truth, peace, and the healing power of kindness. It speaks of a brighter future—a time when the clouds of confusion and contradiction will part, revealing a world where honesty flows freely and our hearts sing openly.

Levi Robin’s journey of exploration and curiosity has taken him down many roads. The soul-baring folk artist’s distinctive musical style combines deeply personal and transformative lyrics with emotive stirring vocals, creating a sound that is filled with meaning and connection.

Growing up in Orange County, California, as a teenager Levi became deeply dissatisfied with what he and many describe as “the conveyor belt trajectory of the school system.” With nothing but a shirt on his back and guitar in hand, he took a chance on a different path – a musical one. Levi confides, “From being a runaway to encountering eastern spirituality, from psychedelia to unearthing my own ancient Judaic roots, songwriting has been a uniquely integrating constant.”  Songwriting became a powerful way to translate his deepest feelings into melody and verse. Taking inspiration from an eclectic array of artists including Bach, Stravinski, Mingus, Hendrix, Dylan, Beck, Gaye, D’Angelo and Radiohead, and more, Levi Robin creates his own mindful and genre-defying musical releases.

The artist first attracted attention in 2014, with the release of his debut self-titled EP as well as his subsequent tour with Matisyahu. Since then, he has shared a series of singles and albums, racking up over a million streams, garnering him a fanbase worldwide. In 2023, Levi experienced a serendipitous moment when he met producer Yoel Kreisler, aka ‘FRAYMES’, at one of his concerts. Sparking up an instant and immediate creative connection and friendship, the duo entered the studio. He shares, “We started trading music and influences, and began conceptualizing new ways of approaching recording this new music.” The result and first taste of this new collaboration is the single “Whole As A Broken Heart”.

His single “Healing Is Coming”, “is a song of surrender and courage, to face all obstacles, to face the ineffable truth of life, to face the darkness, to bring forth the light of our unique souls and look the serpent in the eyes,” shares Levi.

The track “When the Walls Fall” features an anthemic hook over mood-drenched sonics. “The single sings of an uproaring from the voice of conscience. When the walls fall and all seems broken, it’s an alarm to wake up from the deep slumber of the soul,” proclaims Levi.

Levi’s new single “When The Sun Comes Out” “is a triumphant farewell to darkness and deceit, embracing truth, peace, and the healing power of kindness.” He further confides, “It speaks of a brighter future—a time when the clouds of confusion and contradiction will part, revealing a world where honesty flows freely and our hearts sing openly.”  “When The Sun Comes Out” is a beautiful and soul-stirring stripped down indie folk embrace.

Synthpop collective Magnetic Skies reignite their electrifying return with latest single ‘Back To Life’ out now.

Building on the momentum of their spring releaseA Place on Earth – the first track since 2023’s acclaimed debut album, the band are back to unveil ‘Back To Life’; a powerful evolution which blends their signature synths, darkwave textures, and euphoric beats to marry raw energy with emotional depth. Equal parts nostalgic and modern, this is synthpop with soul, wrapped in melancholy that resonates deeply as frontman Simon Kent sings “We are made of stars / we are meteor showers / losing all control / empty out the soul.” This is a song that unpacks a world that feels increasingly disconnected, and dares to offer a lifeline…

‘Back To Life’ explores the tension between our deep, universal connection and the fragmentation we face in the modern world,” Kent explains. “It’s about sensing that chaos, feeling the void, the noise, and still holding on to the hope that we can come back from the edge. It’s a call to reconnect, to bring something broken back into wholeness.

On their upcoming debut, Parade! Parade!, the San Diego-based trio transform the emo playbook into something weirdly joyful and instantly memorable. The act of “parading,” in the band’s context, is the opposite of wallowing; taking all of your past experiences, good or bad, and using them as a means to appreciate the fact you made it this far at all.

The album’s first single, Dunce Hat,” is out today, and it captures the band’s ethos through high-energy theatrics to detail the weight of feeling left behind and rising above anyway. “All that it took / was all that I had,” vocalist Joshua Talbot sings in the final chorus, landing more like a victory cry than hopeless resignation. With relentless spark and plenty of introspection to go around, it’s perfect for fans of both breakdowns AND breakthroughs.
