“Distant Stars” (Withstand) is a mirror to the song we released last Valentine’s Day. Where Two of Cups is an ode to an early, stable love between my partner and I, this song is almost a prayer to get through the hard times that life throws at a relationship. It’s a reminder to take the long road to earn what can only be found through hard work from both parties involved. “Two of Cups” was even written from my partner’s point of view, attempting to soothe my anxieties. In “Distant Stars”, my anxieties and worries take center stage, where I’m asking the powers that be to make sure the love between me and my partner can overcome what could possibly separate us. In my mind, the stars in the song represent the goal of being famous and loved by the rest of the world, and I would trade that all for keeping a love like the one I have.

“Distant Stars” is a good primer for the new album coming up, where all of us in the band are in different stages of our respective relationships and can discuss how said relationships have changed who they are. Kenopsia is a made-up word that means “the eerie, forlorn atmosphere of a place that’s usually bustling with people but is now abandoned and quiet”. That’s the thesis for this album, all about missing the person you used to love.

“I hope that people see this song for what it is: A nice loud love song that they can dedicate to their partner.”

Fast Money Music returns with “Unfortunately”, a bittersweet anthem and the latest glimpse at his self-titled debut album arriving this spring.

Following the momentum of “Round and Round” (Steve Lamacq BBC 6Music, Clash Magazine) and “Lover Boy” (HERO, Flaunt Mag, John Kennedy Radio X), Fast Money Music is back with “Unfortunately”, and the announcement of the debut album ‘Fast Money Music’, arriving on April 17th 2026.

“Unfortunately” is a bittersweet anthem built on dueling guitars, a driving pulse, and lyrics that sway between intimacy and distance. The track unfolds with seaside imagery: waves, moonlight, and hushed silences, all echoing the cycles of timing in relationships. At its core is a refrain that admits to carrying too much, with both voices weighed down by baggage they can’t quite put aside. Tender yet restless, it captures that familiar space between holding on and letting go.

Recorded between Hackney Road Studios and Fast Money Music’s own space in Dalston, “Unfortunately” pulls from the grooves of The War On Drugs, infusing early New Order sentimentality with a dash of Orange Juice’s bright jangle. “It’s my haunted reply to Rupert Holmes’ ‘Escape (The Piña Colada Song)’,” explains Nick Hinman, “this time centred around NOT drinking, and with the uncertainty of whether the two ever end up together. At its core it’s about intuition, the weight of self-doubt, and how often we’re at the mercy of the forces of nature.”

The track was produced by Nick Hinman (Fast Money Music), with executive production and mixing by Mikko Gordon (The Smile, Arcade Fire) and mastering by Matt Colton (Depeche Mode, Wet Leg, Arctic Monkeys). It features guitar from Daniel Vildòsola (CMAT) and drums by Steffan Halperin (Klaxons).

To kick off the new year, Anaïs & The Hoops unveils the music video for “Growing Pains,” a standout track from her debut EP of the same name.

With “Growing Pains,” Anaïs explores love through the lens of friendship. “Friendships shape us just as deeply as romantic love, especially the ones we carry from childhood into adulthood,” she says. “The song is a love letter to best friends and to growing up alongside the people who feel like home.

Directed by Grace Pomilla, the music video reflects these themes by interweaving intimate on-stage performance footage with nostalgic childhood home videos. Shot at Purgatory in Bushwick with Anaïs’ full band and a cast of close friends, the visual underscores the song’s emphasis on chosen family. “It’s nostalgic, a touch melancholy, and completely dreamy,” Anaïs adds.

Combining jazz-inflected vocals, introspective lyrics, catchy pop melodies, and a retro-inspired aesthetic, Anaïs & The Hoops has quickly emerged as one of indie music’s most distinctive new voices. Hailing from San Diego and now based in Brooklyn, Anaïs began performing at a young age and spent much of her 20s singing professionally in jazz clubs before finding her own artistic voice. In September 2025, she released her debut EP, Growing Pains, which earned support from NPR Music, Ones To Watch, and WFUV.

Dash Hammerstein is a songwriter and film composer known for crafting scores that blend a modern production ethos with the ramshackle melodicism of idiosyncratic artists like Moondog and Brian Eno.  His work has premiered at Sundance, Tribeca Film Festival and DOC NYC, and he has scored projects for Netflix, Hulu, HBO, PBS and many more.  In addition, he has released ten studio albums of Kinks-inflected folk pop and neo-classical music, which has been licensed for international commercial campaigns by brands including Adidas and Toyota.  In recent years, he’s gotten more involved in NYC’s theatre scene, writing and consulting on a number of musicals in development.

His latest single is entitled “The Hammer” and is a quirky and breezy tune all about living with uncertainty.  Dash confides, “The question at the center of the song is: ‘Can I pull back the hammer or am I waiting on a train around the bend?’  Whether this is the hammer of a starter pistol or an actual pistol changes the meaning drastically (and darkly), and is up for debate.  The race is either on the verge of beginning or on the verge of ending, depending on what’s around the bend, which is unknown.” The single is shared alongside a unique and mesmerizing music video.

“The Hammer” is off of his forthcoming self titled album Dash Hammerstein which came out of a period of newfound creative sobriety and experimentation. The collection of songs is his most honest to date. Dash shares, “No more word salad psychedelia – each song is about something specific and meaningful, be it death, uncertainty, old friends or new biotech.  With sobriety, my songwriting hours shifted from the night to the morning and much of what is on the album was written very quickly over coffee – a lot of first thought/best thought material.  There are some wonderful guest contributions on there as well – Michael Sachs plays woodwinds and brass, Jordi Nus plays strings and Alden Harris-McCoy plays some guest guitar.  Everything recorded and mixed by me in a few studios around Brooklyn.”

Dash Hammersteinis set for release February 13th worldwide.

London-born artist, poet, and musician Truman releases his emotive single “BUZZIN”, the first glimpse from his upcoming album Kid Raise Kid, due early next year.

Driven by hard-hitting, syncopated production from Jakwob (Lil Simz, Jorja Smith, Shygirl, Nia Archives), “BUZZIN” channels Truman’s distinctive flow and raw vocal energy as subconscious thoughts spill out in sharp, unfiltered bursts. The track sets the tone for Kid Raise Kid, a fearless exploration of adolescence, identity, and the confronting realities of Truman’s upbringing.

Delving into the story behind the track, Truman explains: “This song is a stream of unconsciousness. The words are delivered like a jazz drummer in broken time. I made it with Jakwob in the genesis of Truman. We were playing and getting buzzin.”

Frenetic yet introspective, darkly funny yet disarmingly honest, Truman’s music captures multiple personas, the repressed ordinary man, the cockney comic, and the guarded adolescent, each reflecting his inner turmoil. Drawing on influences from

Kendrick Lamar and David Bowie, Truman is a deep-thinking rapper and storyteller; a generational voice of modern masculinity, with all its ugly truths and unfair vilifications unearthed. He dismantles the myths of manhood using the very tools that built them.

Truman (real name Charley Palmer Rothwell) is also known for his acclaimed work as an actor and is currently collaborating with directors Edgar Wright and Myriam Raja. Born in Homerton, London, Rothwell brings the same emotional depth and intensity from his acting to his music. Truman’s songs are brave and self-exposing, ruthlessly drawing upon trauma and uncomfortable truths, framed within the context of his working-class upbringing and the wider society that shaped him.

Truman’s work cuts through the noise of identity politics, revealing the importance of nuance and emotional honesty. The project is his attempt at self-healing a meditation on growing up in a white, working-class British home, and facing the contradictions of masculinity head-on. A dark, nihilistic humour runs through much of his music, brought to life by Truman’s uncanny acting instincts.

Uncompromising yet universally human, With “BUZZIN” Truman fires the starting shot for what’s shaping up to be a landmark year, a raw statement of intent from an artist stepping fully into his moment in 2026.

Owen Saward (pronounced Saywood) kick starts 2026 with new single ‘I Wish’ via 0207 Def Jam. Listen to the track here.

Following an incredible period of growth at the end of the year with the release of ‘Without You’, the new track ‘I Wish’ sees Owen give fans a first taste of a slower, more mellow sound, using this track to spotlight his vocals. Already receiving 150k views on TikTok, the track opens with a sweeping symphonic intro and a catchy rhythm that lingers long after it ends, as Owen pleads, “I Wish That I Could Hold You.”

It’s a song about love, loss, and the longing to rewrite a past relationship. The melody accentuates the vulnerability in the lyrics, as Saward speaks candidly, almost as if writing an open letter. The song remains memorable, carried by its gentle tempo and Owen’s soft, emotive vocals that highlight his artistry in a new way.

Owen Saward comments, “This record was about stripping it back and really showing my R&B side. After my last release, I wanted to showcase who I really am, and collaborating again with Angel made that feel authentic.”

Owen Saward is a British R&B singer-songwriter from Hertfordshire. He has quickly risen to the attention of R&B fans far and wide – amassing over 250,000 followers over the last 12 months – through a blend of 2000s R&B influences with his soulful sound. Owen is building a reputation for his ability to craft tracks that resonate deeply with listeners; since last year’s breakthrough single “I Know”, he has counted over 10 million streams across his catalogue.

Gogol Bordello releases new single Ignition” and music video starring award winning actor-director Liev Schreiber. The track is the third single from new album ‘We Mean It, Man! – the band’s “post punk revenge” produced by Nick Launay (Nick Cave, Gang of Four, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Amyl & The Sniffers, IDLES) and Adam “Atom” Greenspan (Amyl & The Sniffers, IDLES) out February 13, 2026 via frontman’s Eugene Hütz’s label Casa Gogol Records.

Ignition” is a smashing anthem about lifelong friendships, deeply set in post-punk groove and inspired by Gogol Bordello’s 2023 collaboration with Bernard Sumner (New Order, Joy Division). The music video celebrates friendship between Hütz and Schreiber, which began when Schreiber cast Hütz in his 2005 directorial debut, Everything Is Illuminated.Since then, Schreiber executive produced the Vice documentary Scream of My Blood: A Gogol Bordello Story, and the two have aligned creatively and politically, recently partnering with UNITED24 at Veselka. That shared history comes full circle with Schreiber starring in the music video for “Ignition a kinetic visual companion to Hütz’s latest anthem.

Liev Schreiber says, “My brother from another mother. Ridiculously insane with the heart, mind, and voice of a poet,” while Eugene Hütz comments “‘Ignition’ is about the hardest currency there is: lifelong friendships and trust—the people who will come pull you out of a ditch at 5 a.m. I didn’t want musicians’ faulty acting to obscure that, so I called my friend Liev, who is exactly the kind of actor who embodies it effortlessly and powerfully, because he’s exactly that kind of person. I value our friendship tremendously, and with the 20th anniversary of ‘Everything Is Illuminated,’ it felt like the right time for a meaningful celebration.”

The single follows the previously released gypsy punk meets hardcore title track We Mean It, Man!,” and uplifting dancefloor crusher Hater Liquidator.” The band just completed their legendary holiday shows and will kick off their North American tour kicking off on February 13, including a homecoming show to New York’s Knockdown Center on March 27- tour dates here.

Anchoring the album is its title track and lead single, “Note To Myself,” a song that encapsulates the project’s emotional core. Through sweat, tears, and unwavering commitment to authenticity, Satya reflects on sobriety, self-worth, and learning to love herself through every season of life. It’s a statement of purpose and an open letter; one rooted in truth, resilience, and compassion.

Across the record, Satya balances emotional depth with empowerment, creating a body of work that is at once energetic, emotional, and determined. Songs move fluidly between moments of reflection and bold affirmation, channeling themes of girl power and self-belief while remaining grounded in lived experience. “I’m passionate about telling the truth,” she says. “It comes from my heart.”

Satya channels her lived experience into music that inspires strength and self-acceptance. Beyond her work as an artist, she aspires to open a therapeutic centre to support others on their healing journeys. Her message is clear: the past does not define us. With courage, honesty, and perseverance, anything is possible.

Note To Myself stands as a powerful first chapter; a record built on truth, growth, and the belief that sharing your story can help someone else feel less alone.

Long-distance indie rock group Perfect Weather For Humans kick off 2026 with a hook-driven new single “Measure For Measure”. Taking revenge fantasies as its jumping off point, “Measure For Measure” melds roiling emotions with the expansive PWFH sound to create one of the group’s most visceral outings yet.

“‘Measure’ explores a character done wrong and the conflicting emotions that arise as they dream of vengeance,” says singer/guitarist Shae Moseley. “The terrible feeling of sinking as low as their perpetrator, the terror of what they may be capable of when pushed to the brink.”

Canadian musician Keegan Powell returns with his new single “Too Hard,” a blisteringly melodic rock track that tears straight through the emotional turbulence of modern life. Blending sugary hooks with ferocious guitars, the song captures the sensation of information overload and emotional overwhelm in a rush of feeling where clarity and chaos collide.

Built on high-energy momentum and sharp melodic instincts, “Too Hard” feels like a thousand voices screaming through a Wi-Fi connection: lost, overstimulated, yet still clawing for meaning in the endless noise pouring out of all of us. The result is a track that’s immediate and cathartic, balancing exhilaration with emotional pressure.

Driven by its happy, energetic, and fiercely forward momentum, “Too Hard” sits at the intersection of alt-rock and indie-pop, continuing Powell’s knack for pairing pop-leaning melodies with raw emotional undercurrents.

An official music video premieres today on YouTube.

“Almost Here was the beginning. Almost There is the reflection,” Beckett says. “It’s about checking in with who you thought you’d be twenty years later, seeing what changed, what stuck, and what still feels like home.”

Driven by soulful vocals that ooze emotion, “Wait A Minute” unfolds with echoing instrumentation that feels both nostalgic and melancholy, accompanied by a guitar solo from the talented Mark Punch that feels as though it’s singing back in response. The track emphasises her commitment to real instruments, timeless production and emotional depth. Rising singer-songwriter Bella Rios has joined forces with electronic producer mulsh to release their new single “Hold On.” mulsh (Colin Mulshine) sets the pace for the track by delivering an immediately infectious beat punctuated by glitchy, buzzy synth progressions and a pulsating bassline. Rios flaunts her dynamic range, leaning into sultry, emotional verses and taking flight on the hook. PRESS HERE to listen and HERE to check at Rios’ recent appearance on uber popular TikTok series Step to The Mike.

The pair met while studying at Princeton and instantly formed a creative connection.

“This instrumental originally started as a remix idea for a Tim Legend song called ‘Telescope,’ but when I finished the beat, I realized it needed a female vocalist, I immediately thought of Bella and she crushed it!” said mulsh. “I was also inspired by Łaszewo and it’s murph to pay homage to classic, warm analog style sounds, which I love. This instrumental doesn’t have too many components – simplicity is bliss – especially with such a talented vocalist.”
