First Official Look At  Paul Mescal, Joseph Quinn, Barry Keoghan, and Harris Dickinson In ‘Beatles’ Movie

The first glimpse of the upcoming four-part Beatles film series has been revealed, showcasing the cast of Paul Mescal, Joseph Quinn, Barry Keoghan, and Harris Dickinson as the legendary band members.

In an unexpected move, The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts shared on social media that they possess exclusive postcards teasing the upcoming films. Students and fans were encouraged to find these postcards on campus, which provided the first visual of the four actors in full costume for the movies.

Although the images are limited, they offer a first look at the cast dressed as their respective Beatles personas: Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney, Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr, Joseph Quinn as George Harrison, and Harris Dickinson as John Lennon. The project, titled The Beatles — A Four-Film Cinematic Event, will consist of individual movies centered on each band member, all directed by Sam Mendes. The films are set to be released on April 7, 2028, with each installment told from the perspective of the featured musician.

The cast also includes Saoirse Ronan as Linda McCartney, James Norton as Brian Epstein, Mia McKenna-Bruce as Maureen Starkey, Anna Sawai as Yoko Ono, Aimee Lou Wood as Pattie Boyd, Harry Lloyd as George Martin, David Morrissey as Jim McCartney, Leanne Best as Mimi Smith, Bobby Schofield as Neil Aspinall, Daniel Hoffmann-Gill as Mal Evans, Arthur Darvill as Derek Taylor, and Adam Pally as Allen Klein.

Details on the films’ format remain scarce, but reports suggest that each movie will chronologically depict different periods of the band’s history, charting their rise to worldwide fame.

Sam Mendes — renowned for directing American Beauty, Skyfall, and 1917 — is producing the series alongside Pippa Harris and Julie Pastor, with Jeff Jones serving as an executive producer. Filming is slated to begin in the UK in 2025, with all four films scheduled for release in 2027.
