Teaser: Apple TV+ Shares First Look At ‘Margo’s Got Money Troubles’

Apple TV+ has unveiled the debut teaser for its highly anticipated dramedy series starring Elle Fanning and Michelle Pfeiffer. The show, set to premiere soon, offers a darkly humorous and modern exploration of motherhood and financial struggle.

The teaser, titled “Margo’s Got Money Troubles,” introduces viewers to Margo (Elle Fanning), a community college dropout whose life takes a sudden turn. After discovering she’s pregnant unexpectedly, she faces the daunting reality of rising diaper expenses. The clip, set to Meek Mill’s “Fabulous,” captures her overwhelmed moment as she dramatically collapses in a Bloomingdale’s aisle. She’s soon scolded by her mother, Shyanne (Michelle Pfeiffer), who remarks, “There are no victims in Bloomingdale’s.”

Confronted with her financial crisis, Margo gets inventive. The teaser showcases her entrepreneurial spirit as she launches an alien-themed fetish account on OnlyFans. Fanning is seen painted green, signaling the start of her unconventional venture. The financial strain also brings her father, Jinx (Nick Offerman), an ex-pro wrestler fresh out of rehab, into the picture. Near the end of the teaser, he questions her activities, prompting her to modestly claim she’s creating “educational videos.”

The series features an impressive cast, including Nicole Kidman, Thaddea Graham, and Marcia Gay Harden. Based on Rufi Thorpe’s bestselling novel and adapted by acclaimed showrunner David E. Kelley (Big Little Lies), Margo’s Got Money Troubles is scheduled to premiere on April 15, 2026. The first three episodes will be available on launch, with new episodes released weekly through May 20.

During a press event, Fanning shared that she was drawn to Margo’s “spunk and optimism,” aiming to portray postpartum life authentically with insights from “all the mothers on set.” Kelley, who is married to Pfeiffer, joked that her agreeing to play Margo’s mother was “the second best ‘yes’ I’ve gotten from her.”
