Gemma Hollingsworth is stepping into a bold new chapter with the release of her latest single, “Peachy.” Released on August 28, the vibrant new track marks an exciting evolution for the Melbourne-based singer-songwriter as she embraces a fresh contemporary pop sound.
Having first introduced audiences to her powerful vocals and heartfelt songwriting through her acoustic material, Hollingsworth is now showing a more energetic and confident side of her artistry. Her musical journey has included an appearance on The Voice Australia, followed by the release of her debut EP Written Words. “Peachy” represents the latest step in that transformation, blending the vocal strength that has become a defining part of Hollingsworth’s music with the colourful energy of her new pop direction. The singer has been developing this new sound with Grammy-nominated producer and songwriter Sean P. Jones and songwriter Katrina Mae Stone in Los Angeles.
The release also arrives at an exciting time for Hollingsworth, with the artist preparing for her first headline show at Melbourne’s The Espy Basement in October. The performance will bring together songs from Written Words with material from this new chapter, including “Peachy.”
